Hamas are the problem, not Israel, grow up and accept you can't win and whilst you continue to fight you are equally responsible for every single civilian death.

If Hamas agreed to stop firing rockets would Israel immediately withdraw from the occupied territories and illegal settlements?

You think that is all it would take? It will be a very difficult negotiation.There are now 350.000 Israelis living on the West Bank.Nearly as many in East Jerusalem.All those wasted years has seen Israelis putting facts on the ground.Will be a very difficult problem.

Israeli settlement building activity, illegal under international law, has ensured that this situation will take so long to agree and unravel that it will probably not happen.

The settlements are build in and around Palestinian lands in the West Bank etc

The only way to kick start any peace process was to halt settlement building in order to have continuous land to hand back to the Palestinians.

The Israeli leader that agreed to this was assassinated by his own people because of it.

That's the point... ok say for example Israel won the war and thereby "deserved" the land.

Why were they allowed to dispossess Palestinians of their homes and send them to refugee camps?

This was ethnic cleansing because....
... Israel was declared to be a Jewish state. Non-Jews were not welcome.

Why couldn't they leave the people where they were and integrate them into the state of Israel?

Like I said Israel and the Palestinians agreed a deal in '93. Rabin was assassinated by a right wing Israeli and that deal died..

Why did the right wing Israelis object to this peace deal?
Why were their aims and wishes allowed to prevail in what was supposed to be a nation state, Israel?

I see you are all concerned about how many jews were persecuted and booted out of other arab lands - the numbers are huge but all I hear are the sounds of silence on that subject...
Are you going to negotiate these jews back into these lands and to be free whilst living there ?

Whichever tool said Hamas are the problem really needs a history lesson. Hamas were created in 1987, what about the 40 years before that huh? Israeli defence force are the very root of the problem with that muppet Netanyahu in charge.

There will NEVER be peace in that region. Don't think any spot has seen more consistent conflict through the last couple of millenia. Israeli arrogance and total disregard for dipiomacy and Palestinian/Arab jihadist doctrine will never allow for peace. A 2-state solution and ceding of illegally occupied territory by Israel would go a looong way to solving the crisis but Israel and many of their powerful zionist lobbying nutters in Israel and around the world will never allow this.

I think you all need to have a rock/rocket fight to sort out your disagreements
