Ricciardo has had a good first half to the season doesnt make him better then Vettel.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would agree with that, tis too early to say, but the current evidence is rather compelling
Indeed. It simply doesn't make sense to dismiss the quadruple World Champion & numerous record holder based on one dodgy half of a season.
Although I wonder if Ricciardo does stay as impressive as he is now & dominates the sport, how long it'll be for bitter individuals to claim "he's not that good anyway".

I never complained once about Schumacher's dominance, did not complain about the mass damper Alonso dominance.
Ricciardo has shown us what he can do withouth the EBD and if he goes on to dominate the sport, I will enjoy it as well.
Most motorsport fans like racers and not time trialists, which is why a lot of people did not take to Vettel
Ah, you mean that thing that Vettel had for 1 of his 4 Championship-winning seasons? The same thing that any team on the grid could have developed?
You're acting as if Vettel getting pole & shooting off into the distance was a negative trait. Maybe he should have screwed up more often to make things exciting?
In 2010 & 2012, he fought very hard for his title, wining both on the last day of the season. The 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix being an amazing comeback.
To call him a "time trialist" shows you have literally no knowledge of F1, or you are biased in the extreme against him.
Vettel is a time trialist. His race craft is mediocre. Most of his wins have come from him not having to race anyone but himself.
When he has to, he generally does a mediocre job. Vettel has had the EBD since 2009, or a variant of it since then. What are you talking about?
I just do not rate him as a driver, a lot of people mock Button but Button's title in the Brawn was harder than any of Sebs titles.
This "racer" you try to make out as some great has been struggling to drive a car that is not planted to the race track and has been for most of this season. This is why a lot of people including RedBull are beginning to ask questions about him.
The jury is out on Seb I'm afraid, some of us have been watching this sport for decades and know when we see a paper champion.
Regarding your comments about his titles being hard fought, you conveniently forgot that in 2010 he had unreliability and crashed out of many races taking others with him. In 2009 he had unreliability or he would have won the title. In 2012 he did struggle to win that title but again that was because of his lack of ability and bad luck from Hamilton and McLaren.
If the McLaren was not so unreliable he would not have won the title.
The thing is, I do not hate Vettel or dislike him, I just do not rate him. Why that troubles you so much is amusing.
I have my reasons for not rating Vettel and have explained them multiple times. It's not exactly a new thing. A lot of racing fans have similar views. Like I said, a lot of racing fans do not like him because he is not a racer and has been exposed this season.
For his sake, I hope he can turn it around as it is sad to see a "champion" be embarrassed week in and out by his rookie team mate
Sorry, but that entire comment is just laughable. Full of blatant lies & utter nonsense.
There is simply no debate to be had here, as you are so incredibly bitter about four-times World Champion Sebastian Vettel, that it clouds and rationality you have. It's like the dogmatism you get from creationists, 9/11 truthers or Sky F1.
Learn to accept him for the all-time great he will be remembered as, and you'll be happier.
Doesnt mean its right that he will be remembered as an all time great. Your right that he probably will, but its based on his stats, not his driving ability
Hobo, please point out the lies in my post above.
Why would I be bitter about Seb being a world champion? I'm not an F1 driver, makes no difference to me.
Always amusing that so many "Vettel fans" resort to he won 4 titles when you try to discuss Vettel but offer nothing else.
DrunkenHobo has a reputation on this forum for making things up and posting unsubstantiated throw away comments. Whenever requested to substantiate his views he simply ignores the request. Stating that Vettle is "an all time great" is yet another example of a unsubstantiated throw away and rather silly remark. So much for his wish to have a debate.
Personally I do not believe in the "all time great" nonsense. I believe in the concept of F1 Hall of Fame. You do not have to win even 1 single WDC to receive that honour. I can imagine the entry for Vettle, should he be so honoured, it will consist of one word, one number, and one abbreviation " won 4 WDCs " and nothing else.
"in 2010 he had unreliability and crashed out of many races taking others with him."
He crashed out once, taking no-one with him.

Must be me and mudd who are stupid then. Coz I don't know what ur on about. Sure u can't be bothered trapping back n explaining what u meant tho. Wudnt wanna run the risk of contradicting urself.
Don't worry mudd, it will be his razor sharp humour and subtle wit, blended in like a fine whiskey to leave u feeling completely inebriated, confused and in need of an anadin extra
N_six0six - Vettel still finished the race. MUDD said "crashed out of many races".
True hobo true, but the outcome was to finish a lap behind his 2nd place team mate so crashing out and saving car parts probably would have been more beneficial
In 2010 at Spa, I believe, Vettel crashed into Button on the straight, ending Button's race.
I must have imagined that too
Let us also not forget Turkey 2010
He didn't "crash out" of Spa - he finished the race.
