Regardless, at least we wouldn't scout the world as our home grown players aren't good enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
India have over a billion people to choose from and are still only capable of winning the odd test abroad every few years
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And with the worlds population, England have won their first test in how many??

P. S. World Champions

Ok, But England have all the empires (commonwealth) to chose from but still never won the world cup. They ahave the best resources too but they are always under the shadow of Aussies.

India have a population of a billion people, England about 50 million, yet England have won 7 of the
last 12 tests to India's 2 wins between the sides , having won both series home and away recently including a 4-0 drubbing

England may have population of 50 million, add to that South Africas population of 70 million, Australias 20 million, Newzealands , etc and thats pretty impressive number and variety of choices aswell, whereas India chose players brought up in Indian Condition only.. Also, england is 1st world nation to india a 3rd world, england are the best sourced nation......
Now compare the results.

Commonwealth has more than 1.5 billion people and they all are potential players for England....

If we have the rest of the world to choose from why don't we have De Villiers, Amla, Johnson, Clarke etc in our team?

More drivel, you can't claim India is a 3rd world country in cricket terms when the most money in the world is spent on the ipl on your countries No. 1 sport, as well as wasting billions on a space programme & recieves over £300 million a year in charity from Britain.
Cricket is at best the 3rd most popular sport in Britain

This

In India it's like the only sport. Look at their miserly performance in the commonwealths.

India and "sport"
Smashed by a country in which it's 3rd/4th most popular at best

All the players who play for England are English (with the odd Irish). That's a fact. They chose to play for England ahead of anyone else. You sound bitter

I just looked up the medals tally at the Commonwealth games. Surprised to see India bagging 61 medals so far. Frankly, I thought they would have won a dozen medals at the most. Of course, they are no match to England and Australia, both having a long history of all-round sporting excellence. Nevertheless, they are doing better than other subcontinental teams - Pakstan 4, Bangla 1, Lanka 1. But then, they have more people.

I'd prefer the UK economy to be miles better.
The distribution of wealth in India is poor.

They have more billionaires than England, but the levels of poverty are horrendous.

India have a space program, something which the UK does not. Need to look into the aid. I thought it had stopped.

Even when the floods happened, India no any help, and said they could fund the recovery.

Saying that, India has only been independent for 70 odd years, and had made massive strides.

But let's stick to cricket here lads. It's only a game. It's not as if they are real enemies. Quite the opposite, as a matter of fact.

Just thought this is getting silly now, I'm as guilty as anybody.

Keep the banter going though. It makes it more interesting.

Peace

Commonwealth medals chart shows India won most gold in wrestling.

How about putting Anderson and Jadeja in the ring to settle this for once and all?
