*Sorry meant to say Tories will avoid upsetting pensioners and instead target other elements of society.

The only NO on just now got the hunner.

It's a sign I tell 'ee.

Quinn - for someone who I thought was quite smart, you are remarkably out of touch and blinkered when it comes to this issue.

Agree with the points you made.

Amazing how the polls have No at 52% but every canvassing I've seen is over 65% Yes except one which had No at 51%.

I don't believe a word Better Together say. Vote Yes and shipbuilders will lose their jobs. Not even voted and the last commercial shipbuilders on the Clyde goes under.

I can't see No winning now. For a long time I thought they would. You get the occassional person who claims their household of 75 people are voting No.

As for the small part of UTC's dissertation that I read only the media had Darling as winning the debate. Salmond never answered currency well despite being correct, the rest Darling was flustered and stuttering and trying to just shout loudest to cover his lack of answers. He was pathetic.

Busby didn't even realise the typical English attitude of "we support you" was coming out of him. A fellow buddie too

I was surprised Salmond never mentioned the Clare oilfield but Darling has shown his hand and has no more. Salmond has a lot more to bring out.

As was said no one is changing from Yes to No. Like me who started swaying to No most are going Yes after facts come out

It was no intention of a joke whatsoever, it was a figure of speech. I'd hardly make a joke about that after a rant about the victimisation and hounding of the disabled, would I?

Mick.

I was the first on here to make the point that a Yes vote was not a vote for the SNP.

The point I made is that that is the public perception.

Partick.

Cos We don't agree doesn't mean you're smart and I'm dumb.

Thought we had dropped that shiiiit on JA.

Well it certainly couldn't happen with a No

Aye quinn get with the program!

I do agree with Quinn that Salmond is no longer an asset for the Yes campaign as a lot of the media have tried to frame it as "Alex Salmond's campaign" and thus having a TV debate with Alex Salmond as the figurehead plays into that perception. There are many competent people on the Yes side, it could have been more beneficial for the campaign as a whole to have someone from the Labour Party or the Green Party representing Yes.

Quinn - for someone who I thought was quite smart,

This is why I stay away from JA at times.

These indie threads get petty, repetitive and personal.

So according to this article if its a straw poll of the general opinion of the Scottish people, looks like we will be saying goodbye.

Ath.

I feel we are being bounced into a panic decision.

I need 5 years and hard and fast policies and proposals.

I fear for the Scottish army, navy, Air Force and Health Service.

I fear that all the wealth & influence in an indie Scotland would be sucked into an already fat and bloated Edinburgh.

I fear for the lack of a robust Lender of Last Resort.

Get the currency, Europe etc sorted & cast iron.

I'm not jumping into the dark.

Neither is the majority of Scots.

Theres only 1 month of campaigning left so after September the issue, whilst not leaving public conscience will be decided. I agree with you that these things do get too personal at times.

There is a level of fanaticism on both sides. How could you be stupid enough to vote Yes/No? etc etc.
