Dortmund bid £8million to resign

let's be honest here david luiz is no where in hell rated close to £50m yet chelsea sold him and to top that of clevs and welbeck are english so we should be getting around £20m mark, each.

this is nearly as bad as when some other United fan suggested Madrid will be interested in Welbeck after there were rumours he wanted to leave

8m for Cleverley is good business in my books.

Also, I heard that Dortmund had bid 10m + 2m in bonus payments. Which would be what we paid for him.

when the time comes for us to sell players we see them cheap, very cheap
cleverly £8m
---------------------------------

You think that's cheap for Cleverly and that you should be getting £20m?????

let's be honest here rumours fly everywhere but welbeck to madrid nowhere happening especially they may be getting falcao soon. since small english clubs take us for a mug when we buy their players i think the same shoudl be done

Ye but we want to sell by all accounts so the price is instantly lower and they aren't in the desperate position. I'd imagine they would wait until January or next summer if needs be. That puts us in a worse position.

are you trying to tell me the likes of young, shaw, lallana, jones and chambers are worth between £15-30m

At least the plan is to get rid now, reducing the size of that squad. Selling Kagawa will be a mistake but its not one LVG will recognise till he is forced to rely on Rooney and Mata and wondering just why they are so average.

Were any of them in the last year of their contract at their clubs?

No player should be written off just because he doesn't fit into a particular club's style of play. Careers have been reignited on the back of a change in scenery. Just look at how well Gervinho is doing at Roma.

£10m + £2m for Kagawa (which is the figure I read) sounds fair to me.

He's got two years left on his contract so not too long. He's been absolutely cack for us. The manager clearly doesn't want him. We've got plenty of stock in his position so he's surplus for requirements.

Why would we be getting much more for him?

Did you just call Rooney and Mata average?

SAF also said in his book I think that when selling, particularly long standing servants of the club or those that have come through the Academy, we don't sell as much for profit but have the interests of the player and their career in mind.

It's not great looking at it from our point of view but for someone like clevs how isn't in the plans, if accepting a lower bid than we would like is best for him and his career for him to be allowed to move on and play, that's quite a good way to go about things imo.

Kagawa for £8m?

We will have Hummels for £12m then

posted on 29/8/14

Because everyone knows how well Kagawa performed in the Bundesliga for Dortmund before, and how much he suits their style of play.

He may not be cut out for the PL, but he is still a very good player who will no doubt go on to have a fantastic career back at Dortmund.

No but the position of the clubs buying and selling is paramount.

Liverpool
Man utd

The biggest clubs in England and with lots of money want players who have done well and have long contracts.

Cleverly and Kagawa aren't wanted so will be subject of low bids from lower clubs.

Dortmund know Kagawa is surplus to requirements at United and that the club may want to sell.

Why on earth then would they bid £15-20m for the player?

So? He's been cack for us and is surplus to requirements, which is well documented. There's no way we'd be getting much more for him.

How much did we pay for him in the first place? £17m? And a quick Google search suggests that was including add-ons which may well not have been paid yet. So what sort of fee would you expect us to sell him for?

Obviously it's going to be less than we bought him for.

Don't mind kagawa being sold.Hes done jack all in a united shirt and has failed to adapt to the premier league.Rather have mata and wazza in there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
are you on cack..kagawa doesn't get the opportunity because of rooney and now we have mata aswell. kagawa was a beast of a player when he was playing dortmund one of the players who destryoyed munich in cup final. if kagawa gets few runs of games in his position you will see a vast difference

Yes kagawa was impressive at dortmund but last time i checked he is a united player and he hasnt shown anything like his form at dortmund.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

i'll repeat it again has kagawa had proper chance to show what he can do in his FAVOURITE position
