Pet Hates In Football

The pathetic attempt by Sky to make out that there is a competition going on to win the Premier League.

The bigging up of the chances of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United is embarrassing.

My pet hate is when a player makes a mistake at either Prem level, Champions League level, or International level, which results in a goal and the pundit says "You wont get away with that at this level" but in actual fact you would get punished by the mistake regardless of whether it is the World Cup final or a friendly over Hackney Marshes .

Football agents taking millions and millions out of the game because Fifa and Uefa brought in the rule that players have to have licensed agents to liase between the player and clubs.

Some agents use this to move players around for inflated fees to make as much money as possible even though it could be to the detriment of the player

"If that was just a bit to the left it would have gone in" when a shot is quite close. Think it works for any shot really, I could say that when someone absolutely skies it, "if that was 20 yards lower it would have gone in"

Also the insistence that hitting the post is bad luck. not really it was just a slightly misplaced shot, no luck about it at all.

If you've had a shot from 30 yards out and you're a couple of inches out and hit the woodwork it is a bit unlucky.

THE OVERHYPING OF ENGLISH PLAYERS

The blatant disregard and funding for grass routes and youth football

You know you have a core problem when phil jones, tom cleverly, chris smalling and ricky lambert have England caps

They dont have to have agents. Im sure its just that if a player does have an agent, he has to be licensed by FIFA.

Oh yeh !!

Players that take offence to having their boots covered in vanishing spray. £100,000 a week is 600 pairs of new Vapor X boots..............buy some firkin new ones if it bothers you that much ffs.

Any time the ball goes near a 6 foot plus goalkeeper and someone goes within 2 feet of him its a free kick and clubs that lose 100-200 mil and win the league and think they have done something remarkable rather than something that is par for the course.

People praising fouling as "being physical" and blaming teams for not liking it when other teams get up in their faces.

No you're praising a player for sticking the little pieces of metal into someone's leg at every opportunity. It's not praiseworthy and it's not football.

There is no "luck", the shot was off target.

Most of what was said by the OP as well as Robbie Savage and Michael Owen. They have absolutely no place being pundits.
