Can't See Liverpool in the top 4

Didn't think of that.

Sturridge diving for them, and Lambert putting them away.

The future of English football.

Yeah suarez would have won us the city and villa game by sitting at home..

Lambert could be POTY if only Brendan let him on the pitch.

"The club under considerable threat of missing out is Arsenal."

If FOR ONCE, Arsenal can get over our ridiculous injury issues (we've lost someone after every game already - after topping the physioleague table last season), I'm dead certain we won't miss out. I'd say Liverpool are most likely. Man U are capable of finishing top 3. All opinions though.

Amazing we have played 4 teams who are all currently in the top 6, they have played 4 teams, 3 of which are currently 15th or below yet we're above them and apparently our start has been 'flat'.

You couldn't make it up

Arsenal are a proven top four club, Liverpool have had one good season. Liverpool are more under threat than them.

Suarez still being a Liverpool player, banned or not, would have increased your players' mental strength. Also, if Suarez was still a Liverpool player Lambert would have got on the pitch - which automatically increases your chances of winning, due to his significant quality.

City and spurs are nothing compared to sunderland and burnley

posted on 19/9/14

If Suarez was still at Liverpool, I am sure the ban would have been reduced by now. The football authorities love Liverpool.

You're missing out your fantastic result against Villa, and the penalty-induced narrow victory against European giants Ludogrets.

Its probably more mentally effecting to come so close and bottle it. United hit bottom last year and are on the way up while Liverpool cant really improve in the league on last year with the current squad

-----------------

They've spent over £100m, haven't they?

Their manager thinks a team who spends that much, should win the title.

Liverpool lack mental strength. A career of being a nearly-there must have affected Stevie into giving the title away last season. Tough times.

Well going by games against same team last year we are 2 points up

Have to say, the OP really hasn't got that much wrong here in his opening comments.

Liverpool have never finished in the top four in the pl the season after finishing second. Expect that trend to continue. They become mentally shot after coming so close yet so far.

If Liverpool don't win the title this season, do you think Gerrard will leave for a top, top club?

He isn't getting any younger.

Why are we being wummed by a mid-table team again. You must be really bored after not having anything to watch during Tuesday/Wednesday or even Thursday.

Well actually many of us watched Liverpool play in the CL, but then were called "weird" for doing so. According to some of Maestro's workmates, and "Wessie Road" you are only allowed to watch football if your own team is playing.

At least it gives Rooney a chance to have another hair transplant in that time.

I think Stevie will jump ship, probably to someone like Derby, so he has a chance of winning the Championship trophy next season
