I agree about the midfield. When Allen & Can return we will have a much stronger midfield which will allow us to attack.
I think Balo will score goals I just can't see him being a team player. I have watched him at 3 clubs before ours and it always ends the same way. He upsets team mates with his style.
I really think Sturridge will not stand for his selfishness and Sturridge is a selfish player himself but no where near as bad as Balo.
RAP
I agree they will score goals. Balotelli scores goals wherever he goes. I jsut can;t see it being a good partnership over a 11 month period I am sorry to say.

Then perhaps they will hold a mirror up to each other, and Rodgers and peters can coach it out of them.
Either way, everyone is right, you can't judge him yet.

The other thing here chaps is that yes I have said about Balotelli but what happens when Sturridge is injured again.
Borini & Lambert can not step into his shoes. I really believe we need another quality striker as Sturridge is so injury prone.
RAP
Most strikers are selfish. The good ones know when to look up and to release the ball.
Sturridge did this on many occasions last season with Suarez and that is why they both gelled so well.
I juts can;t see Balotelli looking to do one twos with Sturridge or looking up on occasions.
I agree im reserving judgement until I see Studge and Balotelli together for a run of a few games. I think with Studge's movement and Balotelli playing a bit deeper then i can see them causing a lot of trouble for defenders.

That's defo my concern too we're already too dependant on Studge but hopefully as the season progresses and players liek Markovic get better we can play 433 with Balo as a lone striker much better, currently, despite me thinking it would work, it hasn't, Righteous called it rigth a few weeks back saying we are poor in that formation but think we need to make it work as we will be forced to play it at times.
I think Lallana will be a huge plus for us in the coming weeks, what I've noticed is he turns so quickly when he recieves the ball that he can spring attacks very quickly in the transition. This is going to be a great weapon to have especially when Studge and sterlign are running the channells ahead of him, I also see Mario being key as he will occupy a defender or two making spaces for the others to exploit.
I'm allot calmer now then I was 2 weeks ago, derby performance has allot to do with that, thought we were very good especially Lallana,
Terrible article really.
The first premise is wrong for a start, of course Sturridge is nearer being fit, he just isn't quite ready yet.
The Balotelli stuff is just cliche's, and you call him lazy
You ignore that Origi is coming next season, so signing another striker in January would mean we had 4 of them even before Origi is coming (assuming Borini goes, otherwise we would have 5 and Origi coming).
Lambert was always signed to be a regular sub appearance with the odd start. He hasn't started great but has played the grand total of 139 mins for us, 66 of those in the PL.
The end of the season will be the time to assess whether Origi will be enough, or whether we will have to revisit our striking options, not the 30th September.
Right now Mario is tryign to do 2 jobs at once, he naturally lieks to drop and he's shown his intellignece when he does, he's played lots of excellent first time passes to wide players when he does this, but problem is we've no one in the box when he does this, as a lone striker he has to fight his naturalinstinct to drop deep and try stay as high up the pitch as possible.
Jesus Studge can't come back quick enough, Brendan better pull him out of the next set of internationals, if he just got back then got injured on England duty again I might kill Roy Hodgson with a spoon.

---
With the International break coming after West Brom, I wonder whether we are deliberately leaving Sturridge a bit longer to ensure he isn't picked for the England squad. Taking a little risk on this week's games in the knowledge that he should be fit for the 7 games we play before the next International break.
I consider the following players not good enough:
Mingolet
Sakho
Lucas
Borini
They've had enough time in my view and I believe we need to improve on them.

But better than any of RAP's
We finally have some decent LB cover and you want to sell him for £4m!!! Not Enrique's biggest fan but we should not sell him for that little.
You seem to be offended by names but are happy to call Lambert a pub player, very harsh. A good professional CF who is happy to sit on the bench and try to come on and make a differance, again not going to find many player of his quality willing to do this. Borini is a good player and worked his socks off against WH, with a run of games will do well, but another who is willing to fight for his place.
Balloteli and Sturridge have been bought to play together not either or, wait until they can do this before judging.
Sahko is also a fine player who could play for us for years.
Glen Johnson i would be happy to off load, no real issue with anyone else. If we aren't going to use Lucas as a DM then he may as well go too.
I don't get why International managers don't approach all the clubs and work directly with the coaching staff at clubs to get tailor made programmes for players from the people who work them day in day out.
I understand that a manager will want hsi squad to train together but whats the benefit for Roy in making Studge train then injuring himself and not being available? If Roy had spoken to LFC maybe he'd have been advised to let him rest and not train then he'd have been able to play the qualifier game.
It's not like Roy and his staff don't have plenty of time to get thsi info and try build players specific programmes and build training sessions around this, I'm sure the clubs would only embrace it and it might help heal the rift between club and country. Could actually help improve the England side.
It's all good and well saying once Sturridge is back that the partnership will blossom with Mario however another injury and we are back to square one. The truth is that Borini is a poor backup and Lambert is not the type of player who can stay match fit in a side that rotates.
Unfortunately we are stuck with the 4 that we have for the rest of the season. Mario has played well and worked really hard. The goals will come for him.
