Why has nobody thought to have this 3 way debate before?!
It's genius - should lead to really insightful and unbiased conversation.

I know.
Yes, we know by now that scousers like to delude themselves into believing Gerrard was better than Scholes. Benn done to death.
The way I see it, United would have won just as many trophies with Gerrard in our side instead of scholes.
Would Liverpool have won the trophies they did with scholes instead of Gerrard? Hmmmm. I'm not sure.

Yeah. This was Carragher's reasoning for putting Gerrard and Lampard above Scholes.
Put Gerrard in the United teams Scholes played in he'd have won even more than Scholes did.
Gerrard has played with some absolute dross in his career.
So do you boys think Gerrard made a mistake staying at Liverpool then???
For his own career he probably did.
TOOT thinks Borini is a good player because he won Young player of the year....,,,at Sunderland
Oh, he also has an international cap for Italy.......in a friendly against the USA

We wouldn't have won the CL in 2008, Scholes also ran the show in the 99 FA cup final.
You wouldn't compare Xavi or prilo to Gerrard, so why scholes?
I'd rate xavi ahead of them all and Gerrard and scholes better than pirlo.

Scholes was a better playmaker than Gerrard. Gerrard was probably a better all-round player.
Don't mean to be that guy but Lampard won 2 League Cups
Also, anyone who tries to discredit Scholes' game or achievements is a ghoul. The best midfielder to every grace the Premier League.
even comparing scholes to gerrard is a crime.
whats wrong with you people?
please tell me what gerrard had in his locker that scholes didnt?

Why would anyone pay attention to what that guy says?
In all honesty, and it is in some ways hard to acknowledge as a LFC loather, that Gerrard would have made either MUFC, or CFC for that matter, complete teams and virtually unbeatable.
Not sure that the same could ever be said of Scholes.
However, he is the ONLY LFC player for the past 25 years that would even get a sniff of being good enough for England's top club.
I realise most of my fellow MUFC fans may find it hard to swallow but Gerrard was a real gem, and Scholes was merely a great, and vital, component of the best, and most balanced, midfield 4 the EPL will ever see.
People seem to think less of Scholes because he had quality players around him as opposed to Gerrard who didn't always have.
Do people not watch football or something? Scholes was a genius, players who play smart instead of playing hard are the true geniuses of the game
Nothing wrong with what TOOR is trying to point out. Utd fans express shock whenever anyone does not rate Scholes as highly as they do. Saying Scholes was not as good as most think gets you ABU, bitter etc. Scholes won more trophies but individually Gerrard is so much better, the more complete player, the ultimate midfielder at his peak IMO.
How many trophies would Utd have missed out on if the had no Scholes? How many more would they have won if they had Gerrard instead? How many trophies would Liverpool have if it was not for Gerrard? All hypothetical though.
Scholes had Fergie. That guy could get performances out of my gran, or even a potted cactus.
Stevie had Hodgson lol and inferior players around him but my was he a force.

Fowler, Owen, Torres, Alonso, Suarez etc etc wouldn't even get a sniff?

I'm think last season the likes of Sterling and Sturridge would have been first choice at Utd. Even Coutinho.
Sterling would just about make the bench. Sturrdige and Coutinho are not Utd standard
please tell me what gerrard had in his locker that scholes didnt?
