Green Basturd

One of my favourite Bubbles quotes-

Ricky if you love something you have to let it go. If it comes back it's yours. And if it doesn't come back it's not yours. And if it doesn't come back you're an arséhole.

Whitewall, I know exactly where you mean. My boy has played a few tournaments down there.

I used to play football in Acton. Have a look a the goal I scored.

Whitewall, on the subject of Saturday/Sunday football, did you ever notice the difference between the geezers that played on the 2 days.

Saturday footballers were normally proper players who had played to a high standard. Sunday's was just beer monsters/animals who were probably having a tear-up on the Saturday at Football.

Obviously I played mostly on Sundays.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh yeah, deginately. I played some semi pro stuff Saturday for a few years, physically and technically stronger, until I got too slow, too sh|t and too old! Sundays were a better laugh but some of the pitches were awful. Somehow the teams I played for were generally sponsored by pubs, so most Sunday afternoon spent drinking and laughing.

Hounslow's how ya doing fella? Just to let you know the geezer taking the throw in was a proper Spurs bod, knows Keith Robbins and the like. Dave Richards, I think he has got a bit peed off with it over there and now follows egg-chasing instead.

Battersea originally for 24 years, then Durham for 6 years (woman) then Hua Hin Thailand, Natal Brazil, Hsinchou Taiwan, and now Philadelphia for 4 years (the place that invented aids)

Tell us that story Speedie? I don't blame you for leaving the PatmoreWhat happened?

Fortunately Im not from Patmore. Women gave me the story, moved to Durham for one, that went Pete Tong so I buggered off to Thailand for a year of fun, and met an American bird, then spent a couple of years teaching in Brazil and Taiwan with her before marrying and settling in her home town.

Nice one Speedo, did you have TEFL? I'm pretty much in the same boat. bird trouble. I got a mate teaching/course administrating in Taiwan. I was like TaiWAN? I ain't got anything to keep me here. What's it like there, I have no idea.

I was always Speedie in my le coq sportif 1984 kit. Short, bad tempered git

Cesc, I was in Thailand and Brazil before going to Taiwan, so i was spoied with scenery and tranquility. Taiwan, was very industrial looking (i was in the north west) maybe i was tired teaching and travdelling but i really didnt like it. that said, the two guys that started working there with me from england are still there and are settled (long term girlfriends) so i don't know. some schools just care about student numbers not the learning expectations and everyone always passed exams (bosses orders) so i was really frustrated. Thailand outside of Bankok is an amazing place to live and teach. Vietnam and Loas are also great places to teach abroad. there is really good money in S Korea but expensive to live. TEFL's are fine the better the tefl means slightly better pay, i did mine over a weekend in class and two weeks distance learning (the easy one) and didnt find it hard to get a job. hope that helps fella
