Speedie didnt like him, he said he always wanted to be one better than everyone else (that and he was a tight khunt) but David said that ken (quote as i remember it) would try and be better than everyone else (this is the quotey bit) 'if i said i went to Tenerife, he would say he has been to elevenarife' it was a long time ago no so dont remember a lot of it. but he was a good guy I saw him in a bar in the west end, saw he was drinking lager got an extra from the bar went over to him and gave it to him and just thanked him for being my childhood hero,shook his hand and walked away , he follows me back to where i was, him and David White spent the whole night out with me and my girlfriend at the time and paid for everything. top bloke!

Thanks David Speedie I've done a 160 hour, fairly rigorous online course. Grammar is a git if you went to working class school but I passed it all. I don't have any classroom hours yet but I've done plenty of work based presentations/reports etc to not be nervous in front of a class . I'm a well spoken, reasonably articulate, well turned out white man. D'you think I could get jobs in the far east?

Cesc, yeah you'll do fine - it is not a nice thing to say, but teaching in the east really seems to be more for show than substance, particular with the small private english scools, a native english with a white face is a winner over there (randomly my now wife who is yank from Puerto Rican/Korean parantage) found it harder to find work (although better qualified with teaching experience) as she didnt look white enough. quite bizarre, parents wanted their children to be taught English by what they perseve english speakers to look like! hell, there were so many South Africans i met over the two years in asia teaching....which kinda proves my point as those feckers can't speak english that can be understood. Jobs are plentiful mate,. go and do it mate, I would recommend any one to do it, it's great and you get paid to live in some amazing places (besides the communist looking concrete city in Taiwan i was) plenty of websites offering jobs - ovbviously i'd read reviews of places from ex employees as some of the schools can be right little feckers (keeping your passport etc) good luck.
