Teams got used to us playing well so now put 10/11 men behind the ball. We've lost the pace of Lennon and Bale and the passing range of Modric/Hudd. Shame.
teams dont defend much against us any more though, these days we're the ones doing the defending (not through choice) and looking in a right panic doing it
Poch will get us there.
There are signs we're adjusting to his style ie the quick counters and occasional high pressing against Arsenal.
If you want fun, bring back Sherwood. 3-3 West Brom, 5-1 Sunderland, 1-5 City.
I remember Spurs playing well under Redknapp, winning fack all and bottling it when it mattered.

love when people dismiss the Redknapp days, when anyone can see we were 100 times more entertaining and seen as a top team under him
Play well, win fack all, Manager sacked & players leave
Play rubbish, win fack all, managers sacked & players leave.
Meh
Played 10x better football under Harry...and oh, reached the champions league quarter final.
Should never of got rid of him.
We had exciting players like Modric, bale, vdv, king, keane etc. and an old school manager.
Now we have dembele, Ade, Townsend, Ciriches, paulinho... And more tactically cautious manager.
It's easy to see why there's such a difference, sadly. We're quite average these days.
But as others have said, poch got southampton playing really well, and we have some players with massive potential, so let's wait and see. I'm optimistic the good football will return
Poch got southampton playing well then he leaves and they are playing even better.
If things keep going in the direction they are we will look at the harry days as the glory years, I don't care if we won anything as we threatened to and it was fun to watch and being a football fan as long as I get that then I am happy.
I disagree so much with what has been said on this thread/article except for the nice football we played under Redknapp comment.
What do you disagree with

That we play boring football, we play a reasonable standard of football and show glimpses of greatness every game. There was almost a unanimous decision on this forum that (when appointed) Poch will take a while to implement his style.
I enjoy watching promising talents like Bentaleb/Mason, and enjoy watching Verts/Kabs.
Teams still defend heavily against us, as Sunderland and West Brom did, it was just errors that cost us results.
And comments praising an underachieving Redknapp.

I agree that it is errors that cost us results but you say West Brom defended against us. You do realise we had ONE shot on target that whole game and that was a tame Soldado effort. Didn't see to much of the Sunderland game but from the stats we should have won. A major problem with Spurs right now is we seem more suited to away games, at home it seems we have no idea how to cut open a defence. It don't help that the crowd jump on the players if we are not winning after 30 mins. As I mostly see our home game I stick by my comment that we are boring to watch, especially in comparison to a few years ago but it is good to see some youngsters getting a game. Although I am not convinced by Bentaleb at all.
