Nice stadium as well....

Arsenal as a club isn't the problem, its the hilarious fans who laughably try to talk up their title hopes and consider bad signings(ozil) to be the key when it is obvious to any outsider that the 40+ million could really have made a difference if spent correctly instead of adding attacking midfielder number 14 to the books.

Wenger and the Arsenal fans are a perfect match, they both belief their own hype.

Haha, fitting that Bute is here, he wants a statue of a recent manager

It's simply comparing the two and saying that Arsenal have to propel their players into this false legend status.

Children of the future will be asking their grandads (you) what Tony Adams did for Arsenal, which is less than Phil Neville did for United, but United have real stars.

What you start to see, is it still happens now. Ozil is crumbling under the expectation. Wilshere hasn't become the player he was meant to, Walcott can't play full seasons without injury. Yet you treat them as Gods and put them in the bracket of title challengers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So just to clarify your logic.

If you haven't won as much as Phil Neville, you cannot be considered a legend?

It's a question of judgement and comparison.

Do United consider Phil Neville a legend? Do they have a statue of him?

Shows the mentality of your club, raising mediocre players into legend status.

You dont have to do much to get a statue at Arsenal.

Arsenal have been a damn sight more successful the last 25 years than any other English club bar United so how some feel they can sneer at their lack of success and legendary players I can't understand.

Is Tony Adams worthy of a statue?

posted on 13/10/14

If Tony is the benchmark for them, where do they stop?

Are they going to put bronze Steve Morrow onto his shoulders?

I only sneer at this myth that Wenger is still a good manager when it is quite clear his dealings over the last 7 or 8 years have been terrible.

They have as much chance of winning another prem league title under Wenger as we have of winning the prem under Jackett.

And reading the Arsenal board over the summer was top class, maybe i underestimate their sense of humour when they talk of final pieces to the jigsaw and titles?!?

Phil Neville was a decent player and won a lot, if he played for wolves he'd probably be their all time greatest ever.

The problem with these wolves fans is that their 2nd teams are Liverpool and utd no less.

I mean I know nothing about wolves apart from the glorious M.M days, you guys are in division two right? Pardon my ignorance.

It's their club so their choice about statues. I understand and respect that, why can't you ?

it isnt all that makes me happy but does make me smile I must admit Chris.

In fairness due to Phil's versatility he was a great option, be hard to point to a particular trophy we wouldn't have won without him but if we didn't have him I am sure we would have lost out on one or two trophies...

Assuming whoever we had instead wasn't as good.

Is every single Aresnal season the same? Top for a good part till they throw it away and then finish 4th again!!!! Then get battered by a good Champ league team...............Lets face it the only reason you won the FA cup is because Wigan beat Man City, Platsic fans plastic team!!!!!

Do not understand your logic here. So beating Spurs, Liverpool and Everton meant nothing on our FA cup run? And we only won it because Man C got beaten by Wigan? .. You forgot to mention also if Chelsea didn't lose or Man U....we won the trophy like any winners have in the past by getting to the final and beating the other team .....don't understand your logic here..

As a United fan I understand completely.... we would have won every single premiership title (last season might be a bit of a stretch though) if it weren't for other teams failing to beat the teams above us...

Ahh!! Got it...so the only reason we lost 2006 CL Final was because Barcelona scored 1 more then us...got the logic now....if only we scored 2 more......

posted on 14/10/14

That's not all, think of every single time you have gone out in the CL, all because you lost a game by a few goals...

They are CL wins right there!
