There's a big difference and one in which he exposes his own untruths by trying to claim that both terms could be misinterpreted as the same thing. My ass.

You're just letting technicalities and bureaucracy get in the way of common sense. Given that the conversation was in Spanish and the term 'negro' is completely inoffensive in that language then clearly Suarez had no intention to use it as an insult. So what is the problem and where is the crime?

Evra misunderstood, took offense and then lied about it to people who have the power to to dish out long bans and fines without the burden of proof.

If Evra had been honest in the first place it would all have been cleared up amicably.

You are a racist. And a liar. As is anyone who defended his actions.

It isn't.

You can refer to a black table, or even to a black person but it's totally unacceptable to use the word alone without a pronoun. And he knows this.

No it wouldn't

He would have still been banned

You need to wash out your ears

You are not allowed to reference another players skin colour on a football pitch no matter what the context

It is in the rules

Well that's not what your fellow Manc Ji Sung Parks Cousin thinks...

"As someone who lived in latin countires for well over a decade, what he did and said just isn't racist. Case closed.

You can argue that he should respect the English language enough to know better, i'm sure he does now... But in Spanish, it really just doesn't mean much at all."

What do you think he said to Evra, involving the word black, that wasn't offensive?

and in answer to the question, "why did you kick me?"

I think that in a conversation in Spanish he referred to him as 'negro'. A term that most people believe to be inoffensive in Spanish.

so he said "hey blacky?"

seems very offensive to me.

If someone said "hey whitey" I would find that offensive.

Unless of course it was in Spanish, said by Juan Kerr, and he was saying it after I threw a whitey off some of his Homie Gs.

Don't know where you got that from but you are clearly trying to twist things to suit.

He basically asked Evra why he is banging on about a kick when Suarez gets kicked all the time. He happened to use the inoffesnive term 'negro' when referring to Evra though. Evra, whose Spanish appears to be quite poor, clearly misunderstood, took offense and then went crying to the authorities and lied about the term used and the number of times it was said.

No I'm really not.

If negro in Spanish means black -

https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=negro%20in%20spanish

then he called him black, blacky, whatever, right?

The one thing we can all agree on is that after this incident and the fa s brave and informed decision that racism has been conquered and relegated to the annuls of history

You're not the brightest are you.

And why would that offend you so much anyway? I don't think I would be offended by that at all. But anyway, that's not what happened.

Yes and the Spanish are slowly beginning to realize that their racist views are not acceptable in the rest of Europe.

If it was on a football pitch, and it was an opponent with non-white skin saying it, I would assume they're not being friendly.

NO, I am not implying that at all. What part of my comment don't you understand, it really isn't that hard.

I even used short words, because I know you are Liverpool's thickest poster.

I know you find it very difficult to converse with adults without resorting to throwing insults like a child but if you could at least try that would be a start.

The bit i don't understand is where I have said that in the language known as Spanish the term 'negro' is inoffensive and that because the conversation between Evra and Suarez was in Spanish (initiated in Spanish by Evra) then there should have been no offence taken. You then pipe up with some nonsense about the racial views of the Spanish being unacceptable blah blah. I though you were linking to racial views of the Spanish to Suarez but you are now saying that is not the case so was it just a completely irrelevant point you were making? I think maybe you just don't understand, it wouldn't be a first.
