So many lies in one post its difficult to know where to start but let's start at Broughton who was recommended by Purslow
=========================================================
Er....Purslow was appointed by Hicks and Gillett, in an attempt to appease RBS. But he didn't appease them enough, and RBS appointed Broughton. Purslow wasn't happy about it, there is no way he "recommended" Broughton, he was imposed by RBS.

By this point, Hicks was trying to sack Purslow so that he could put his own family in total control and take a more aggressive line, so Purslow was hardly in a position to "recommend" anybody. That's the point at which Purslow switched sides, but what he really wanted was to stay in control himself.

The irony is that Broughton is a Chelsea fan, and Purslow a Liverpool fan, but we prefer Broughton.
By the way, what is this book you're reading about Liverpool?...is it the Brian Reade one?

You just dress it all up in hyperbole
=====================================================
Another happy chappy...
(What's surprising is that you're capable of conversation....I'd never have guessed that from the previous posts I've seen of yours).

Where's the hyperbole? What did I exaggerate?

No the great Paul Tomkins who so many of you revere.

If you're trying to tell me he's got it all wrong then you're more stupid than I gave you credit for.

The one that quotes Broughton as saying administration was a real possibility. Something I posted a link to and you still haven't had the good grace to say you were wrong about.

Why would I need to read it all to see exact quotes from Broughton and others?
You dippers just can't ever admit you've lied even when everyone can follow the link to the quotes. It's bizarre it really is.

To add credence to the statement you made about reading the book. Obviously.

Go and read what i said.

Oh let me help you

"Funny you should say that as I was just reading extracts from a book"

You know what extracts means right?

ffs you make yourself look dim. You only had to look back at what i posted.

You mean that link to an article on 'ThisisAnfield'? But you said you've been reading excerpts from a book, and what I was asking you was which book it was.
Is that article taken from a book? If so, which book is it? .....that's all I'm asking.

As for the article....you see the bit where it says:
“ the club would not enter administration as it is a profitable and solvent company”?

They were after Kop Holdings, the holding company and H & G vehicle...not the club.

There is speculation in that article that it would have amounted to the same thing, and that Liverpool would have been deducted points (and Broughton understandably played that up when he was arguing his case), but it turned out that wouldn’t have happened, and Broughton later said he was clear about that:

"The aim of the regulations is primarily to capture clubs who have gone into insolvency. This is manifestly not the case with Liverpool Football Club."

I don't think you are reading extracts from Tomkins at all. I think you're posting links from a terrible paper like the Mail.

To be honest it's clear to me you don't know what you're talking about but I do find it amusing that Purslow is an LFC fan and his dad is a scouser considering the tone and context of your thread.

Say My Name having his usual shocker!

Trying hard but see zero relevance to this pile of horse sh.te. You have the quote that shows you lied. Actually you have 2 quotes that show you lied.

"It's a terrific club, it's a fantastic group of people, fantastic fans, the atmosphere will be electric again now and I'll look forward to coming back to Liverpool on a frequent basis and, after Chelsea's result, it will always be the result I look out for"
Martin Broughton

What a fine specimen of a Chelsea fan that man is, hats off to him, he did us proud. I think he'd be horrified by the Beavis & Butthead tone of this article, but he's probably a bit more cheerful than some of the posters on here

Honest to god you are the most class bunch of liars.

You get shown up to be a complete bell because you couldn't even remember what i said and then babble some sh.te about Purslows dad which has zero to do with Purslow saving your sorry as.s club from administration.

I was completely right.

Classless club Classless fans and you have reinforced that 10 fold.

A Chelsea season ticket holder and Chelsea employee saved Liverpool from administration so we could have moments like StevieMe's slip,"We go again" and those embarrassing flag waving victory parades.

You can trash them all you like,we thank them for these great times.
