I can just imagine it now:

"Get rid of it Vela, ya wee cant!"

Good luck to him. Thought he would have been suited to the Bundesliga with probably less language issues, how many at Sociedad speak English?

Thought be priced himself out of the deal. Good luck to him though!

Hope he understands that getting time in Spain isn't exactly going to happen. Will need to get results soon!

Well it's a Basque club, so I'm thinking not many? Aren't they like Bilbao with all their players being local?

Di Maria's Left Foot

Sociedad relaxed their rules years ago. My Spanish mate's Dad said Sociedad are a bunch of sc-mbags and the difference between them and Bilbao is Bilbao are proud being Basque where as Sociedad just hate Spain.

It's finally great to see a British coach managing abroad as well, about bloody time.

Think John Aldridge was the player they brought in to end their 'local' rule.

Brave move signing an 18-month contract at a club at the bottom of La Liga.
Give 'em hell Moyesie!

Sort of job Moyes needs.

He was never going to walk into a top job after what happened at United so he needs a smaller, less high profile, job to rebuild his reputation.

Still gonna be hard, what do you think their expectations are considering they qualified for the CL only 2 seasons back. A hard league to judge, teams outside the top 2 seem to do well for a handful of seasons then drop off.

I wonder if Fellaini speaks Basque.

Sociedad aren't very rich either so Moyes will have to over achieve with the resources he has.

Stay in the league I'd have thought.

Sociedad overachieved. They'd only been back in La Liga for two seasons before they finished fourth.

I'd be surprised if expectations of being a CL club are on the agenda given Valencia appear to be getting their house in order and Atleti, Real and Barca are still the big three.

And if it is they've appointed the wrong man. He couldn't even get Man United top four.

Good Luck to him.

It had been mooted for weeks now and i wondered what the delay was. It is sure a task alright, i hope they give him time.

Sociedad have only won twice this season. Atleti and Real Madrid.

I guess they wanted a manager who can't beat the top teams and he is your man for that.
