You wouldn't have posted such things a few years ago.

Tribalism is a hard thing to get past. Hence why i do my best to avoid these threads now.
Took a couple of days off the forum around poppy day for similar reasons.

I do not have enough researched knowledge of the English bhoys religious background,but I would suspect they would be from an Irish background,with other guys just into the Celt's as a footie team,regardless of any tribal leanings.

In the Irish Republic there are not that many prod's,but I have met a few bears from Eire.There is a Dublin Rangers club,made up od mostly Scottish and Ulster born fans,working there.
In Northern Ireland,it is basically prod-Rangers and Catholic=Celtic,although there are exceptions,in both communities.Very few cross the divide,which reveals how we have not fully moved forward.

In Scotland,generally it is split on a "religious" community background,old firm divide,even though both sides fans are not that religious,and there are prod bhoys and Catholic bears,athough these would be a minority.

Migration from these shores intensified the problem,as orange and green fell in behind Rangers and Celtic,after moving to Glasgow after the famine.The Scottish reformation was strong,and this led to tensions with the Irish Catholic immigration to western Scotland,so ethnicity and religious background combined to cause a rift.

Lately,the Irish republican versus loyalist and British nationalist ideology has complicated things,and this was simmering under the surface during the indy referendum.

I am a Christian,but our religious bigotry and beliefs have messed life up for many,all over these shores and worldwide.

And the fvkin corrupt Glasgow CC have done a cosy deal with the EU.

All to help Celtic ffs.
