I saw Eric Clapton in the Royal Albert Hall with me mum, was good but hilarious, just remember a load of blokes who looked like Jermery Clarkson in terrible stonewashed jeans and blazers playing air guitar in the audience.
Droog, that sounds right up my street
Also you just reminded me, i went to see BB King @ Royal Albert hall. He was 89 i think at the time. Incredible
Slash was a guest, as was Mick Hucnkall , and Duane Allman n his missus
I bet that was incredible, have you seen 24hr party people? Hucknall manages to gate crash the senitenal night in that too!
BB King, bet that was quite a gig, not sure I've seen anyone like that.
I'm going to see this prodigy chinease pianist early next year, Lang Lang at the Albert Hall.

December 1991 watched Spurs beat Notts County 2-1 at the Lane (we could just about beat poor teams at home in those days) then went to watch The Damned and Ramones on the same bill at Brixton. Now that was a night out!
Some memorable gigs:
Black Sabbath - Never say die tour 1978
Van Halen c.'78
Genesis Knebworth 1978
Led Zeppelin Kneb 1979
Eric's club Liverpool late 70s: Pistols, Stranglers, X-Ray Specs, Costello, Ramones and loads of others
Queen Wembley '86
Oasis Knebworth '96
Robbie, Green Day MK bowl mid 2000s
The Who 2007
Loudest live band ever: Motörhead
Worst live band ever: Redwood
Most gob and phlegm flying around: Splodgenessabouds
Biggest fight ever at a gig: The Enid
Biggest regret at missing a gig: Lynyrd Skynyrd tour 1977. Plane crash killed half the band 6months later
Most over hyped band live: U2
I'd have loved to see Ian Dury in concert. Anyone here see him?
I can't stand U2 to be honest.

They were shiete. - saw them in Madrid about 6-8 yrs ago. Never really I a big fan of theirs, but was over there for a conference and there was some tickets available. I should've stayed in the hotel bar

Mrs pplf is a big fan and we couldn't get tickets for the British tour for love nor money so ended up getting front row tickets online the only drawback was it was in Tampa Florida so ended up having Chrismas & new year there as well. Cost an absolute fortune

The early 70s were my golden period for concerts:
Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert in 1973...great to see Slowhand back along with his mates Pete Townshend, Steve Winwood and Ronnie Wood.
Led Zeppelin at the Brighton Dome in 72, the fourth album hadn't been out long...they opened with a storming version of 'Rock and Roll' and didn't let up...they were banned from appearing at the Dome ever again after that night!
Roxy Music, again at the Dome just after the second album was released...supported by Leo Sayer in a clown's costume!
It was also a great time to be supporting Spurs...Martin Chivers in his pomp and 3 trophies in three years...great days
These are the most notable ones I can think of
- Rammstein in Ljubljana last year was perhaps the best one i have ever experienced.
- System of a Down was fun.
- Gorillaz was absolutely fantastic.
- Weezer and the Cure in 2013
- Radiohead
- Motorhead, Black Sabbath and SoundGarden in the summer at Hyde Park wasn't a bad day.
- DaftPunk an absolute age being one of my first concerts was amazing.
The worst experience I have had at a concert hands down was when I was invited to a Jay Z concert in October of last year. Not that I have anything against the music, but we ended up getting there late as anything, nearly thrown out at the door and because of a foul mood that resulted from this, we got in a fight with three 's and had to leave early. To top it all off, I missed my damn train home and had to stay in London all night.

you are my kinda guy! <hugs>
saw the soundgarden and sabbath gig too.
Re- Jay Z, you are just proving the rep of that music right.
never seen a fight at a rock/metal gig....
Deep Purple at the Odean Birningham in 74 and Zeppelin at Knebworth around 79 are the standout ones for me.
I once saw 'The Police' at Aston University, supporting a comedy punk band called 'Albertos y lost trios paranoias'. Went for a curry after in the city center and Sting, Andy Summers, Stewart Copeland and a couple of roadies were sat at the next table to us!
Robben Ford at the Camden Jazz bar was superb, close quarter blues
