you should have put this on the celtic board, would welcome their opinion on him
Yeah, it's crazy bad.
Samaras and Anthony Stokes are like Gods up there.
I'm banned from their board. Haven't a clue why. It's like getting banned from the Bala board.
Not sure how the SPL’s competitiveness has any bearing on the individual quality of a player?
Countless players that have represented Celtic have gone on to be successful in the PL. Wanayama (sp) a recent example.
He is really good, he is a cut above there other players and was really their only good performer in their CL debacle and scores a suprising amount of goals. He would be a good squad player and is still very young so can be moulded into a top defender
Wanyama came from the SPL and so did Fraser Forster both very good players who would improve our team.
This CB is though to be a very good player even in Holland they rate him so it cant be all that bad.
Hes 6ft 4 so thats always good news for our team of midgets.
Never seen him play so i'm just by the league he plays in. Perhaps he's a gem or another flop, who knows.
Would like a tall CB though. Someone to partner Chambers in our defence.
From what I've seen he's good, but you're right - the SPL isn't a great indicator so it would be a risk.
Plus he has some experience of big games and European nights and would probably come in and challenge Per and Kos while not demanding to oust them immediately.
I know Celtic fans rate him highly enough that they're already resigned to losing him this summer and as such are looking at replacements
Dont know why we havent been linked to that Basle defender Fabian Schar who in very highly rated. In his last year of his contract too.

Giroud will obviously show him around the best brothels.
Google 'Fabian Schar Arsenal'. Countless links going back some time.
Is there a player on the planet we have not been linked to?

Only the ones we'll actually sign, come end of Jan.

Please stop talking about Giroud, GT
I'd be happy with either Van Dijk or Schar in January and then we hopefully go all out to get someone like Hummels to replace Mertersacker.
Remember Kos is 30 so hes proably got 2 years max at the top left imo.
Don't care who we sign. A dead rat at CB is better than no one.

Chambers will end up as a CB and is probably Kos replacement
Also worth noting that Kos came from the second tier of French football (re concerns in regard to quality of SPL).
I've always thought that Chambers was more akin to Mert than Kosc. So we need a CB that's got a bit of pace to him, though Chambers isn't that slow.

Yep your probably right but add in Hummels and either Schar/Van Dijk we will hopefully have 3 top CBs.

I reckon the French 2nd tier is a notch above the SPL. Quite a few decent players have come out of the 2nd tier French leagues. Not world beaters, but pretty solid players.
