rather have Ledley than Flamini, Rosicky and Wilshere
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 1st two, I agree with. But Wilshere?!
Celtic would sell off their stadium to have someone like him playing for them.
You're confusing us with the blue team from Glasgow.

Wilshere wouldn't get near parkhead, unfortunately we don't get that much money of sky that we could afford to cover the cost of his bandages.
-------------------------------------
Yes but he really would. Quite easily as well. It's not even up for reasonable debate.
Koscielny is one of the worst centre halfs I have ever seen, VVD would be a step up from whatever that thing is meant to be.
------------------------------
Koscielny is massively overrated. So this statement might be true.
Forster has conceded fewer goals than any other premiership keeper this season.
-------------------------------------
That'll be the defence and midfield then, and not entirely because of Forster, right?
Jack Wilshere is the most over-rated midfielder to step foot on a football pitch
I hope Virgil stays but it's highly unlikely, he's far too good for us and the SPFL, however I hope he doesn't go to Arsenal, a team with some ambition who have a chance of winning things would be the best option. Burnley perhaps

Arsenal won the FA Cup last year. That's a more prestigious and far more difficult trophy to win that the SPL title

Oh you're serious
Well, yes. It's a shame the more prestigious club in Glasgow are still in the Championship, or else the SPL might be a trophy worth bragging about.
Perhaps I'll have soup for lunch actually
IMO it is difficult to constructively compare the PL and the SPL any longer as the gulf in class/resource/turnover is colossal.
One metric however to gauge pedigree is the category of player competing in each league.
From memory I can’t remember an SPL based player being on the FIFA Ballon d'or nominee shortlist since Henrik Larsson??
Millwall, Cardiff, Portmouth, are all superior quality than your sorry lot
Celtic aren't much better than most League 1 sides. A fact proved when they were humiliated in the CL qualification, twice
Fair play, you might have a decent quality player ready to take a massive step up, but that doesn't mean the club can square up to anyone in the Championship.
Celtic . . Smacked by Polish firemen and went through on a technicality. Still couldn't qualify for CL . Would struggle in League 2
All of those stars were bought for your league using Murdoch's billions, anyone can do that.
----------------------------
Wow. Like English football wasn't superior to Scottish football before the inception of the PL?!
Listen, I didn't know this van dijk bloke, so I made an assumption based on the quality of the league. Turns out he might actually be decent.
But please, stop embarrassing yourself by claiming the SPL isn't anything more than a fraud league.
Mick Dee
The PL is not ‘my league’ but it is abundantly obvious that it is superior to the SPL on every level imaginable.
The Ballon d'or nominee shortlist was a solitary example.
Sky invested in the PL as it was already an established, profitable and marketable business to invest in.
TV revenue aside, when compared to the SPL, (Celtic the lone exception) SPL club’s revenues and turnover pale into comparison; (ie it would ludicrous to compare Sony with a local electrical retailer).
To be fair to Celtic it is not their fault they are restricted to the SPL but at times they have raised their game to achieve some remarkable achievements in Europe.
Why does the Arsenal board have a few decent posters but for the most part is drowing in fandangos?
They make out like they are still heavy relevant and always winning something
Celtic might play in a league worse than the EPL, many teams do from many countries but we still win silverware, you can only pash with the tadge God gives you and it looks like Arsenal are almost eunuchs now
Insufferable piffle isn't wound up at all
"Load of tabloid trash probably, but apparently Arsenal are looking to solve their defensive crisis by signing Celtics young CB, Virgil Van Dijk.
Hopefully it turns out to be a load of bull, because I’m not sure why we’re even entertaining the thought of signing anyone from that píss poor league. Let’s be honest here, Scottish football just isn’t very good. The competition is awful, therefore the standard of any CBs will be significantly lower. Even League One CBs are higher quality than anything in the Scottish Premier League.
And despite such poor quality oppositions, Celtic are just about clinging on to top spot, above the likes of Inverness and Dundee. And let’s not even mention the embarrassment of their CL qualification.
Hopefully Wenger isn’t that incompetent, and we’ll actually go for a decent CB. "
I LOOOOOVE the English arrogance... and no one likes you because.....???
lol
go on son knock yerself out.... paint that English picture for us...
I'm off to check on how that pash poor player henrik Larsson is getting on...
