"RDBD remembers it like it was yesterday"
Beware invoking Holte from the dead (AFAIK Villa did it in the 1800s too) .
"we have missed your outside the box view of life and maf has missed your formulas"
What Mich considers to be "formulas" is in fact nothing more than joined-up English.
"Then when the disdain for a European competition when most of your success are in black and white?"
1984 was in colour (well in London anyway ) .
I did say most, to be fair.
Soon we'll be saying "when the last of your success is on VHS" .
Thursday/Sunday is annoying but it's far from mickey mouse. If it's completely mickey mouse then it should be easy for us to win? The winners in recent years have all been far superior footballing sides to us.
With Ade out Kane cant be risked IMO, so Soldado Chadli Lennon & Lamela
Davies Vertonghen Fazio Naughton...Walker to get 20 mins at the end?
I would have more respect for this Competition if they did not allow the 3rd place or losers from the CL Group stages to join it totally devalues this Cup and having to put up with Sunday games which we invariably lose straight after totally hacks me off !!

We have no control over the format of the competition.
We can have a say if we somehow win the thing and keep up our impressive record of winning more European trophies than the sc.um.
It's catch 22,
Do you want 4th place every season
Or "Glory" and cup finals every few years, the odd trophy and 6th - 10th place?
Irrelevant as winning the Europa League now equals CL qualification.
99.9% of Arsenal fans would prefer to win the Europa League once every 2 years (playing in the CL the season after), as opposed to finishing 4th every season.
The financial benefits of champions league qualification through winning Europa must be slightly higher than just finishing 4th too? Don't know
I think that we are caught in a vicious circle we do enough every year to qualify for the EL we get knocked after qualifying for the knockout stages of the EL we get knocked out of the Domestic Cups and we play s hite on a Sunday generally after a EL game on a Thursday night.
Most of europe takes the Europa serious, but English teams seem to think they are above it,either get in the champions league, win the Europa or stop showing the competition so much disrespect
Serie A teams don't either.
What dot said.....no wonder we spurs fans are so hated.....
Sheer arogance.......!!!!
I hate the competition in it's current format. I would rather swerve it. Champions league or nothing until they fix it.

Absolutely awful article. I want Spurs in as many competitions as they can, and I love watching Spurs on a Thursday.
I thought better of you.
Sandy
It should be a matter of pride to the players IMO. 99% of Sunday players give 100% every time they pull on a kit yet its fairly obvious that some highly paid players play when they feel like it.
And going by this article some of the fans are just as fussy.
Shameful thats what I think
If we can't win the EL then it's pointless being in the CL
