I like him, gets far too much flack, and I think Wenger should have played him on Sunday.
Good signing. We needed height, speed and work ethic. Not going to lead us to glory but glad to have him around.
I'll give him
Robbing he did play you silly billy. If only you watched your team in action You played really well! A home draw!!
Either Robbing is wumming or he don't watch Liverpool games!
Andres fair point, he is a great option to have for a plan B or to come off the bench imo.
Hes done okish if im honest, would have expected a few more goals from him if im honest. He does work hard though and actually bring abit of height to the team.
Who else could you have got for that money?

Wild if you look at players West Ham and Southampton brought Sakho and Pelle theres players out there.... but I take your point.
Specially as we bought Soldado for 30 million

Ah yes...Ulloa or maybe Pelle which everyone was wetting themselves at how good they were at the start of the season. Fast forward a few months and one looks like he's on his way to the Championship and the other has one goal in 9 games
He has done very well when you take into account that he was a bit part player at Man Utd suddenly thrust into playing every week in a completely new team adjusting to new players without a pre-season.
Welbeck is a project. He is nowhere near his potential. But whatever you may say abt Wenger he gets players to improve. Especially strikers. When he adds finishing to his work rate we would have terrific bargain. But that is still a while off.
He is nowhere near his potential
====================
Do you really believe that? Just interested. What do you think he is going to get much better at?

Said so above. Finishing. He often hesitates to take a shot when it is open to him. Obviously he lacks understanding with teammates so is unsure when to pass or when to go it alone. But he also lacks a bit of confidence in his finishing that often leads to a bit of hesitation in the split second the goal opportunity is open. Wenger will get him to improve that. He is only 23.
As shocking as expected, really, in the striker role.
Decent back up for the wide attacking areas.

He's 24. Personally I think he is a better finisher when he has no time to think but I'll put my neck out now and say that he will never become prolific. I don't think you'll see much improvement in a 24 year old that had come from Utd's academy personally.
Does well for England though so he is okay by me.

Jermain Defoe was a bit like that, soon as he had time to think he panicked and hit it straight at the keeper or off target but when he had no time to think it was blasted into the roof of the net.

Obviously you haven't seen Giroud before he came to Arsenal. When you can improve a 26 year old?
You wrong abt 'time to think' stereotype aimed usually at black players by the media. Look at the compilation of goals over the last year. Most of them are when he is put through and he has to burst past the last line before he finishes. Welbeck is very good when he can see the opportunity.
The problem is more when he 2 or 3 team mates around him. Thats when he needs to be more confident and that also reflects on his combination play.
What's his goal to game ratio in the prem?
Why does he fall over EVERY time he does something?
