Favouritism ?
Is that a luxury a manager in Jose's position can afford ?
Seems a bit mickey mouse, are we a mickey mouse club ?

Nah, the word I used on the match thread to describe why he's getting picked ahead of Remy was favouritism. Not buddies. That was how you read it. And you were wrong.

Favouritism based on those qualities okay. I don't know what part is unfair - and you're yet to tell me.

It's complete bo.llocks that's why.
If say Lavezzi is available and we have to free up a squad place to accommodate him, then I think he'd be sold.
I don't think Remy was scouted or on our transfer radar until circumstance demanded it. Maybe he just doesn't fit.

I agree
Cesc, its early in the season mid way point, the business end is yet to come , I'm certain he will play his part when called upon,

I'd take that over your form and fitness conjecture any day
Anyway I'm not going round and round on this, differing opinions are healthy, just try and articulate them without the sarcy indults, there's a good lad.
Not saying he won't Iffy. I actually think he'd do alright.
Just playing armchair Mourinho because it's obvious he is below Big Dog in the pecking order for reasons that aren't totally clear.
He scored nice goals against Maribor and the Yiddlers

There's differing opinions and then there's crap, you firmly stand in the latter part
Says the poster who doesn't think managers have favourites
Yeah, alright sonny, I will bow down to your superior intellect on this
There were quite a few reasoned, mature, knowledgeable and balanced posters on the match thread who all thought you were chatting nonsense. Just let that sink in for a minute.
So you do think he is basing his decisions regarding this on favouritism - the practice of giving preferential and unfair treatment towards one player You've gone from damning my views on form and fitness due to not knowing what's happening behind the scenes to now believing you know what's happening behind Mourinho's psyche . I'm yet to hear why it's nonsense and by saying it's nonsense because this is due to favouritism (the proper definition, not your one) is weak and pathetic - in the same way opposition fans used to beat us with regarding Mourinho - Spanish - Mata.
I'm done. Let's just agree to differ.
Can I agree to differ with you
Brummie it goes without saying - I think you and I are meant to differ in opinions - always.
Drogba is an enigma and that is from his younger days as well.
You watch him and you can tell that today he will destroy the opposition or will do cattle truck all. Yesterday was later bit where he had a touch of elephant ....missed couple of opportunities where a decent striker would have atleast made the keeper work.
Next time watch him, if his first shot hits the third tier then he will have a stinker
Remy needs space to run into.
Other than between Ramires' ears we don't get any this season

It's pretty much down to Drogbas hold up play and defensive attributes. I dare say if Costa was injured and Remy was match fit then Remy would get the start.
Against soton did we need to hold up or defend more towards latter stagez? No, we needed a goal. If those are his primary attributes, wrong sub to make.
soccer?lol.
Losing more of our lead over City at that point so yes
soccer?lol.
Gained a pt away from a losing position

Why does Drogba get the nod over Remy?
