Unlucky to concede from two long range goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As opposed to an absolute disgrace of a penalty decision.

Well, that was disgraceful from Gerrard. Entirely his fault that we conceded 2 goals, his terrible performance dragged down godlike performances from the rest of the team. We could've had Maldini, Zidane, Pele and Ronaldo, and they wouldn't have won that game playing alongside the travesty that is Steven Gerrard.

Am I doing it right? This is what we are doing now, isn't it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly right.

I agree with Say My Name - terrible penalty decision.

Clear foul on Borini.

Well, he is far from the only player to not play well, yet it's entirely his fault. There were a few changes from Monday's game. Maybe Javier Manquillo was the catalyst? But no, the agendas against Gerrard mean it must be him. Forgetting that he scored two goals.

He wasn't playing on the wing.

I'd like us to go back to our fluid 4-4-3 game or even the diamond. We don't need so many defensive positions against Leicester

He's been poor recently, and we played much better without him and won against Swansea. He comes back in and we play pretty poorly again. Of course people are going to criticise.

He wasn't the only one, Sterling did very little today as well.

I actually thought Migs was pretty good today from set pieces

Hendo does a job out wide sure, he energy means he gets back and gets forward well enough, but its just nothing more then that usually.

We need to buy strikers. That borini is ridiculous how om earth he plays for us i will never know. And forget studge, he will probably get dvt from the plane journey back from america.

Shame because that represented a real opportunity the way other results have gone.

Given the first pen was just plain wrong however we should just accept our point and be thankful other teams didn't stretch the gap further.

That said, maybe I should start taking Soton a touch more seriously....

Atrocious result, and when we tot up the points at the end of the season it will be games like this where we will be counting the cost.

I took Southampton seriously from the beginning whilst laughing at idiots predicting their relegation.

Was it the right move to restore Gerrard for this game? We looked so fluid without him in the last game. That went today.

I think that is a fair point. Gerrard and Hendo as a midfield duo are at times too slow and were overwhelmed today. Plus Henderson was excellent vs Swansea and much improved today when playing centrally. Its no accident LFC began to improve when we had pace and power through the middle. In the future its probably worth having Hendo in the middle with one of Gerrard or Lucas and Markovic as playing as the RWB.

There's a big difference between relegation and CL place mate!

I didn't think they'd get relegated but never say them in the top 4. Still don't if I'm honest but they keep doing the business.

The goals were pens so let not get carried away.

And he just provides so little these days. His defensive work is not up to standard for a CDM and he doesn't provide enough going forward to be a box to box midfielder or CAM. So what is he. The quarterback role is what people have come up with for it. But his passing isn't up to Pirlo standards ( the only other player who really plays this "quarterback" role) and his hollywood balls dont really suit our style.

Add to this the fact that is he makes an error which leads to a goal he just shoots every time he gets the ball and I'm really sturggling to justify his place in the team
