Is Muslim even the majority religion in the world? If not, use of the term infidel is strange in itself.

What do Muslims mean when they say:
"jihad is declared against the infidels"?
-----------------------------------------
It means what any religious person, Muslim, Christian, Jew or Hindu, means when they have nothing but a hate filled agenda to promote.
You seem to think that Religious violence against other races and religion is solely exclusive to Islam.
But in the truest form "jihad is declared against the infidels" literally means a "struggle against the oppressors". Infidel does not mean a non-believer. It literally means "one that oppresses". Thus an "infidel" can also be a Muslim.
I think Islam is still second behind Christianity globally.
Don't young popular people refer to stuff they approve of as 'sick'?
"Doctor, I'm feeling sick"
"Then why have you come to me, stop wasting my time"
Person dies the next day.
Doctor blames death on the meaning of the word 'sick'

So these idiots are declaring Jihad against themselves?
If you are intent on causing murder, mayhem and chaos, Religion an be a very handy tool to justify your twisted agenda.
So whether you are those Osama Bin Laden, or Anders Breivik, or Ariel Sharon, you will get your way and justify it by some warped religious logic. This incidents aren't solely limited to Islam.

Not at all Serial, and violence isn't my only issue with religions either.
Religion and proselytism has always gone hand in hand, control of the masses is why I believe religions were invented. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing.
Going back to the dark ages the Catholic church tried to destroy liberalism with the destruction of science for example.
Oh btw, if VC comes back and reads my obvious WUM attempt to get a negative reaction from him....sorry old chap
Just to be clear, I mean I believe controlling the masses is why specific religions were created with their rules and holy books.
I understand people believe in a god it's the rules and búllshít with it that people revolve their lives around I don't get.

Avoided it on purpose - had too much going on with discussions about rape, didn't fancy trying to keep too many plates spinning!
I didn't realise that a lot of people on here are so serious. Some real left and right wing folk on this side.
I'd like to see what the likes of French and Galv are like in real life. Probably scrawny 12 year old keyboard warriors.
Galv, Kung Fu and co certainly wouldn't stand in Trafalgar Square with billboards stating their views anyway.
Galv is a top bloke. Certainly no 12 year old keyboard warrior.
Says BB, from behind the safety of his PC in rural Shropshire
Shropshire is where real men reside.

considering half the people on this site have me on twitter/facebook i'm not sure why you'd think i'd be at all concerned about airing my views in public. I'm one of the least anonymous posters on this site.
