Most people see things from their own world view and identify with their own culture. It is not surprising the reaction we see to the Paris killings.

True, but it doesn't mean we should not strive to improve social harmony and fairness. All I wanted to do today was present the facts to people that might not know a lot about the magazine, so that we can have the debate we're having. Many people have not even seen the images they are so adamantly defending and promoting.
do you think Monty Python should have been murdered for making The Life of Brian?

No, I found it funny. Notice how it is actually funny and not full of hatred, and how the character is called 'Brian'. Now that is true art and real satire, not this gutter magazine you're all defending. I could understand a bit more if the content was actually clever.
and please stop making this about the justification of murder, you're only showing yourselves to be incapable of listening or thinking rationally.
if they made a comedy about islam i guarantee you would not be laughing.

I watch and listen to the same media that you do, so I'm not sure how I'm brainwashed.
that may have been my comment, I wasn't comparing just pointing out out that Christians had also had a "holy war" as we're seeing today with the Jihad.
Basically that religion has been used as the reason to go to war for centuries and a holy war is not exclusive to Islam.

Then, as now, war had nothing to do with religion most of the time. Kings would literally get the pope to bless them so that they could go to war in his name - but they already wanted to go to war, it just needed to be "legitimised" somehow.

Oh and i recall muslims being at the forefront of those who objected to the jerry springer oprah and movies about jesus and moses
So if anything they have been most consistent
can't recall people getting murdered over this....can you?

I'd say the police who were keeping the peace whilst being provoked allowed these freedom of speech.
If they don't want to be in this country then they know where they can go
