Well done to the mighty Rams. Will Hughes ran the show and Mason Bennett looked very lively when he came. Such a pity that Chris Martin was beaten by a last ditch tackle because that was a lovely cross from Mason. Spare a thought for my wonderful little sister Florence who is now driving back to Cambridge after watching the game. Best wishes, Tilly.

Dad would be proud.

Yes he would but it helps that Floss doesn't have any lectures tomorrow! I think Dad would have gone spare if she'd had a lecture at 09.00!
So he'd have lectured her
COYRams.
Good effort at this time Igor.
Will Hughes 😯 jheeeeeeeeze, what a player !!
He was on flames tonight. He seems to be getting better and better. Stronger on the ball too, you can't get it off him.
Also, special mention to Bennett. I really want him to make it at Derby, we've all seen the 'potential' it's just never materialised. He looked nervous to start with but I believe he is a confidence player. Showed great strength, pace and power to shrug off the defender and play a great ball across the box for our 2nd. Come on lad, just show the consistency that is needed to be and other Hughesy.
And finally, our skipper. Why oh why oh why is he made the scapegoat? I don't get it. Granted he's not F in Gerard pique but come on, he was brilliant tonight and has been on many occasions this season. Made 3 unbelievable blocks tonight, didn't put a foot wrong. They played like f0re5t HOOOOOOOF..him and bucko dealt with them all night. He was a close 2nd behind hughesy as to MOM tonight.
And why hasn't Omar been doing that every week? No need to rush Thorne if he keeps that performance up tonight 👍
We had the new Shotton long throw tactic tonight, and scored from one. Bent was a good poacher tonight. Scored 3 goals so far and if you added up the distance of all 3 it would be lucky to make 5 yards but someone has to stick them in.
Omar and Hughes looked class tonight and controlled midfield. Will Bryson ever get a game this season?
I'm a regular at the ipro and three quarters of our players didn't turn up. Haven't got a clue why but ay we got 3 points. So looking forward to the next game
Late back to the Vale tonight, but worth it.
That was more than three points for me, a little like the Ipswich game. It was a statement!
Against a dogged, determined side that came to defend. Having just lost Ibe, Russell and Eustace that was a heck of an effort!
A bit concerned that Bent can't be ars.ed to score from more than 1 yard though...
We were lucky by the sounds off it.
Not one Blackburn player turned up is my reading.
Did anybody else smell a plan b last night! Looks like we could be in it for the long haul this time!!
Derby controlled the game from start to finish last night. Keogh,Mascarell & Hughes were outstanding. Very good 3 points against a route one side that can be dangerous. Great job done. Roll on Cardiff!!!
When we do it right, we're a total joy
Hopefully the pressure of the looming Raul will keep Keogh focussed on his role and performing to the required standard; as long as there's solidity across the back line I don't care if it's the starey-eyed madman or the unit with the 1991 boyband haircut partnering The Buckobauer.

Was it Spart that judged Darren Bent on the 20 minutes against Forest whilst playing on the wing??
I think it was robrea who said when Darren Bent signed that McClaren has just guaranteed automatic promotion. Good call. He knows a striker when he sees one does robrea
Wassa, which of our players didn't turn up. I saw 11 out there all make a contribution. The only one who I thought was a bit under par was Dawkins and he was subbed at half time.
You were saying we should drop martin earlier in the season. I am wondering whether you are turning up at the same ground as me.
For what its worth Spart...i agree with u
Actually Backo, Bent didn't actually do much when he came on apart from two tap ins. In the context of the game that was what we needed as we were in complete control of midfield and the couple of time their attack managed to beat our defence Grant was up to the job.
Think after last season McClaren was looking for a bit of experience so it's a good signing. If our backs are against the wall like they were in the second half against Forest then we will be playing with 10 men.
Dawkins wasn't subbed at half time and for what it's worth I thought he did much better in the second half until he was replaced. He has had personal problems apparently to credit to him for getting out there and doing a job.
Backo
re robrearam and his striker assessments. You know he doesn't rate Hughes don't you who was balletically brilliant last night.

Spart Blackburn come to the ipro for a point. Like a lot of teams do right or wrong? Steve Mac said on Saturday that he wants to play different formations. So he experimented. But we play the same way last night. The only players who played well for me was Shotton Hughes who was different class. Omar he's getting better and better Keogh some great blocks. And Ward let's hope he's stays injury free. Now back to my formations why did we not play 442 because we know teams are putting 11 men behind the ball to get a result. Thank god we got Bent in
By the way I will not talk about the atmosphere at the ipro.

Robrea, the man who used up all out transfer budget to sign Derek Hayles. It will haunt him to the grave.
