I'm not in a union though, so Labour are just another vested interest party to me.

===========

You're aware this isn't 1983 right?

=======.

Mate, they fund the party. about half the candidates have direct funding I think.

They arent a charity

Numbers............................The extra GP's thing was a farce & not quite as portrayed. My other half is a retired GP & could tell you some home truths about government manipulation within the NHS!

DELIBERATELY allowed increased immigration to bolster their voting opportunities.
..................................................

Umm... pretty sure immigrants aren't allowed to vote, have to be British to vote in the elections...

Unless you are talking about them encouraging non Labour voters to leave?!

I'm sure you still judge the Conservatives by Thatcher though, despite it being over 20yrs since she left.

Or the Sun by Hillsbororough, despite them probably not having one person in an editorial capacity now that was when it happened.

Not a big fan of Labours evolution personally, voted Lib Dem a few times....

After they jumped into bed with the Tories I am thinking of going back to Labour...

A green Labour or green Lid Dem coalition probably being my ideal.

A Labour lackey - forget his name - we quoted saying mass immigration was a social experiment to rub the rights nose in it. Alienated a lot of traditional left too though, and drove them to UKIP.. Great job.

They aren't a working man's party.

Yes they can if they come from other EU countries, they can vote in Local elections & referendums. After a set period in the country they get full voting rights.

GTWI4T...............................................I like Boris as a character, he has no side to him & has done a good job in London. However not so sure about him as PM.

The EU freedom to move around has changed the demographics of the UK for ever, immigration is a vital part of any countries development, however mass immigration on the scale that has happened is detrimental to a countries traditions and culture.

Pandora's Box was opened & closing it is almost impossible! Just for the record I am Irish & also an immigrant. Have served in HM Services and see myself as British and do not wish to change the British way of life or the laws of the land.

Greens are an awful outfit. I'd want them in as much as I'd want Farage

The biggest problem in my opinion is that today's politicians have never had a PROPER job!

Most of them leave University & take internships with MP's, local authorities etc and then join whichever party they follow. Next thing you know the are Parliamentary Candidates then MP's making decisions about things they have never experienced!

I for one believe all MP's should have at LEAST 10 years work experience in a proper 9-5 job before being allowed to stand for Parliament!

I think it is 2 years but would need to look it up.
