This is also a country with a history of genocide, why would they care about destroying another race, a perfect opportunity to test a weapon on live subjects.
---------------------------------------------------------

One of the most odious things you've ever said on these pages and that's saying something.

Oh, you do realise that the war between them and the US started because Japan bombed them without warning?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So are you saying that Native Americans just committed mass suicide?

How many black slaves murdered? How many murdered as "free men"?

Just as a side note, Japan did attack without warning but America knew about it....

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/8932197/Pearl-Harbour-memo-shows-US-warned-of-Japanese-attack.html

Make of that what you will.

Regardless they were military targets not civilians, I see no difference between ISIS's actions and Americas in this instance. Both destroying innocent lives to gain advantage, only the nukes are worse.

People only did just die, but infrastructure destroyed and then entire generations of children born with deformities due to nuclear fall out.

Nuking two entire cities is entirely different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do the sailors killed at Pearl Harbour not count because they were American, or because they were in the navy they should have realised someone could bomb the fúck out of them in peacetime without warning?

You're stretching your well documented politics a bit thin applying them to wwii.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Na

This is how it works.

If you are involved in a war, you target the military NOT women and children or in this case ENTIRE cities.

They day somebody strikes America with nukes, I will stick up for them.

The day somebody attacks America for resources I will stick up for the.

etc etc

I stick up for the down trodden.

When China attack America for resources etc I promise to be the first on here with an article.

If that ever happens i'm pretty sure there won't be time to log into ja606 and write an article before the bombs start dropping. Furthermore, the internet would be the first thing to go down if such a large scale war between 2 superpowers kicked off.

^ I've come in late, so it may have been said but... China are actually, surprisingly, one of the 'better' holders of NWs, in that they keep the two major components separate. This stops them using them in a snap decision, takes (dangerous) emotion out the equation

It's not really documented much but in 1969 China and Russia very nearly reached nuclear war with each other. Mao forced the building of loads of nuclear shelters in readiness for it.

As an international actor China are relatively normal to their credit. But I'm saying nothing about their internal quagmire

It's also not very well documented that in the 70's Sino-Vietnamese War, China felt that any potential Russian retaliation to war with Vietnam (then the USSR's ally) would be of little consequence - They didn't necessarily fear the Russian nuclear arsenal. It lacked credibility.

We'd all be dead anyhow, unless we lived in some of the most remote parts of the planet, where the modern day UK citizen wouldn't have the skills required to survive anyway.

The counter point being we could just avoid getting into these wars and save both lives and money.

There's a site where you can run simulations of nuclear weapons and their fallout (I'm an IR student, not a mad man... Promise). Anyhow, if you dropped the largest nuclear weapon ever made on Manchester, the fallout would reach well into Norway Puts it in some perspective doesn't it

They did that in Liverpool as an experiment. The locals already bear some kind of strange resistance to the radiation, almost like they'd been exposed before. The bomb is also rumoured to have caused £8.7b worth of improvements.

FACT - Shell suits offer more protection than a full radiation suit & in the event of a nuclear holocaust, all survivors will be required to wear one.

Rumours that the bomb was launched from a British sub have never been proved.
