Who was it who had a bet on about Ant scoring more than Ross?
Cause I can't remember who it was, and it might not even been an actual bet, but I jut remember soneone being a complete wasock about Ross and just being an an absolute ass about him.
And now Ross has over taken ant...
Will we any of our strikers reach the elusive 10 mark
---
Give Cani 3 seasons, am confident (well, not exactly confident) he'll have scored 10 by then.
Leeds Luvr actually said he doesn't think Ross will score more than any Leeds players this season.
I offered to put everything I own on that bet but he didn't take it.
And as I thought at the time he has actually scored more than all of our players so far. I just hope he doesn't score against us this season
"Give Cani 3 seasons, am confident (well, not exactly confident) he'll have scored 10 by then."
To be honest I think Antenucci will get 12-15 goals. Hopefully Doukara gets another 3-4 but they have to play obviously, which hasn't been the case recently
As for your article Shaun, the goals tallies from Doukara and Antenucci have been more than good enough this season.
I tend not to look at how much individual players are scoring though. As long as the team are scoring regularly. And so far we haven't scored enough as a team.
Whether all those goals come from McCormack like last season or spread evenly 5 across the whole team it doesn't make a difference.
A strikers main job is not always to score goals either.
Antenucci and Doukara have done well in that department so far but the team wasn't winning games while they were playing. Now it is, so makes sense to keep things as they are
A strikers main job is not always to score goals either.

A striker's main job is always to score goals.
Great if he can assist, bring other into the game etc but his main job is always to score goals.
Faith, please tell us what a strikers MAIN job is if it's not scoring goals?
I said not ALWAYS!
how can you tell me what every tactic of every manager ever has been.
Because for you to know that it a strikers main role in a side is to ALWAYS score goals then you must know it has never not been the case before.
Now in general yes a strikers main job is to score goals. But that's not what I said
So, please tell us what a striker's main role could be if it's not to score goals?
I'm not talking about when someone is sent off and a striker has to fill in as left back or something or if he;s been asked to play as a winger. I'm talking about a striker.
Any striker, who is played as a striker will have scoring goals as their main job.
If my side have fluked a 5-0 lead in Champions League semi final against a much better side away from home.
Would it be beyond comprehension that I might ask my striker to focus more on pressurising the defenders and making sure they don't have time on the ball than to worry about getting a goal?
If I had Ronaldo and Messi playing on the wings behind Emile Heskey as a Striker, I would tell Heskey to focus on holding the ball up and creating goals for his wingers. Another example on when a strikers main job wouldn't be to score goals.
If I was a manager and had created a way for my team to win more games and it involved the striker focussing on a different job more than scoring goals, should I ignore that and keep his main job as scoring goals simply because in a simplistic view of football the striker should be scoring goals?
Simple question.
In your scenario, striker has chance to score goal or not score goal.
What do you tell him to do?
Score a goal,
Simple question, a defender has a chance to score a goal or not score a goal.
What do you tell him to do?
Same goes for a goalkeeper.
You tell him to score a goal.
Does that make his main job to score a goal?
When Gareth Bale was top scorer in the Premiership playing as a winger had Tottenham got their tactics all wrong because it's the strikers job to score goals and his job to provide assists?
I tell them score if you can but don't do it at cost of doing your job.
As for Bale, what a weird argument.
Sounds like you've all been inhaling mysterious substances.
If there's a chance to score, you do. Isn't that the whole purpose?
I'm going for a lie down.
So there is nothing wrong with the scenarios I suggested then?
The Bale argument is just showing how narrow minded your view is.
Faith, players other than strikers can find themselves in positions to score doesn't make them a striker and they still have their job to do first and foremost.
A strikers main job is to score.
You're entitled to think differently, I'm not going to spend any more time on this topic though.
I know it doesn't make them a striker, that's the point I was making Jonty.
So like I said nothing wrong with the scenarios I suggested then?
Sounds a lot like you are not going to spend anymore time on this topic because you have realised you are could be wrong here.
watch out Faith - you'll be the next one to be called weird or stalker.......
