Di Maria was our best player 2nd half

De Gea,McNair,Smalling,Rojo,Di Maria and Herrera the positives for tonight,though in the second half we finally looked like a unit.

Herrera came on and we kept the ball better and looked a lot more composed and threatening. I wasn't his biggest fan a few months ago but having seen what the alternative is and what he actually brings to the side he really has to start. Over to you LVG.

I am a big fan of herrera
it annoys me when he does not start
he is the perfect player for the possesion style football lvg claims to want to play.

A lot of people miss the little things he does the 2 early passes he played to leave adm one on one. His short somple passing and movement to create space for the second pass etc etc

Herrera was by far and away our best player in the second half.

Herrera was good, but it was the tactical shift that changed the match.

4-4-1-1 with 2 wingers, who'd have though that would work?

Individually, half of the players had average to good games, the other half fairly poor. The issue tonight being a lot of square pegs in round holes, 442 could be excellent with Rooney up top and Carrick back in the side alongside Herrera, love how he closes down players, we haven't had a pressing CM like him since Nicky Butt.

Di Maria the greatest threat in the game tbh. Whn he was good, he was spectacular, when he wasn't he was annoying. Prefer that than just a constant stream of average

Di Maria was by far our best player second half. Hererra was decent, no better than that.
Thought between them Evans and Smalling looked pathetic.
Thought Rooney was solid second half.

Midfield was,weak though. Rooney as holding midfielder was as close to pushing it as you can get. Got the best out of Di Maria though. Did not buy Januzaj in it though.

rojo is a much better cb than lb from what i have seen

and can lvg at least play mc nair at rb if he does not like rafael instead of valencia
