LVG will be faxing over some drawings to Scholes no doubt.

It is absolutely crazy to see Rooney is being wasted so badly, dude is on what 300k/week? he is in the team to attack and score the goals, undoubtedly he one of the best finisher in the league for sure and he has been wasted by lvg...what a nonsense thing to do. First of all, if you guys had Wilson as a backup why did u sign Falcao on loan? That shows lvg has little trust in Rooney an RVP too.

Speaks the truth. I think LVG has been taken back by the pace of the league and how quickly you can concede chances, that's why he has become so pragmatic (imo, of course).

Sooner he wakes up the better, because he clearly hd the players backing, all he needs to do is accept that this style isn't suitable for the league.

No wum, I feel LVG spent so much without much of a plan.

Fair statements from Scholesy, it is refreshing to see the honesty in his approach.

However Rome was not built in a day and one can cast ones mind back to our 3 year drought under Fergie. He was trying to build a team.

Some patience is required, the right balance will be struck.

I have no doubts about that

No, thats not it, I remember telling my Utd supporting bro that the dutch team were also seriously overcoached during the WC. I am not surprised he is as pragmatic and it has nothing to do with the pace of the league.

If you consider taking a very average team with one of two great players into a World Cup 3rd place finish, being over-coached, then we obviously have conflicting views.

LVG turned games around with some of his decisions in the World Cup.

To be fair, we were pretty attacking for a few games until Leicester game. That's when it all changed. He probably doesn't trust the defenders enough to take risks up front and continuously concede possession.

MUDD - the one thing that rings truer than any with Scholes quotes is the lack of willingness to take a risk with a pass or a forward run.

I don't know if that's more to do with the coaching or the players, but we saw what happened last season with an average defence and this mentality. Now our defence is even shakier I can kind of understand LVG's reasoning, we have been caught on the break far too much this season.

You seem to forget how how they also struggled to get past some very inferior teams and how constipated their play looked most of the time. You also seem to forget how few chances they created in most games. Does that sound familiar?

Poor scholesy. He should get on here so the lVG fans can educate him. According to them its all about top 4 this season and nothing else and we can only achieve this by playing miserable football.

But it's ok because we can then spend another zillion pounds and all will be well

I don't forget, but for me results are more important than style of play.

I'd rather win the CL playing like Chelsea did than get knocked out in the SF playing the way Barca did.

You make it sound as though our football has been boring from the moment LVG walked in, which simply isn't the case. We were leaking goals, losing points and he decided a different approach would equate to more points, so far he's being proven right.

I am, I am not opposed to people criticising LvG. I do it as well.

The only people I find amusing are those who believed in giving people chances and windows to build their own squad but have suddenly ditched those beliefs

What's worrying is we look terrible at the back, short of ideas in midfield and completely anonymous up front.

Thank god for DDG.

Have one of the best attacks
Have goal scorers from midfield

Mud - with the addition of 6 new signings plus mcnair hasn't LVG already got most of the squad he wants?

If we look so terrible at the back, how do we have one of the best performing goalkeepers in Europe and one f the best defensive records in the league?

I'm waiting for you to name the people who feel we can only achieve top 4 with dull football....

Do you really think we have a well balanced squad?

I don't think we have a single pairing throughout the squad that look on the same wavelength.
