I'm not entirely sure what your comment is asking... Height and weight are 2 completely different things. For a start, you can't really control height...
---

Definitely not. You can squeeze in more seats if there are short people.

How? You can't put seats above short people.

Also, if they are short fat people then the seats will be wider.

What are you even going on about Maf?

(Can someone please copy my comment so Maf can see it)

It's a fact that people are getting fatter - you're not telling me this is because of a sharp increase in genetic conditions...

Processed food, trans fats, cheap corn syrup, and a sedentary lifestyle is more the reason.

Exactly. If you eat too much crap food, you put on weight. I am a prime example of this.

I was a little over 10 stone when I went to uni. I finished uni at 13 stone because I drank 2 or 3 nights a week, gorged on junk food, and shopped at Iceland.

Until recently, I'd been keeping at a steady weight of 13 stone while I tried to figure out a way to weave in more exercise without losing some of the 'treats'.

Then, I decided to cut all of the crap out of my diet, exercise more, etc. Lost 2 stone in 2 months before Christmas. Easy.

Robben

Play out the following scenario.

Airlines begin to charge the overweight extra regardless of circumstance.

A 250lb passenger (diagnosed with obesity by their Dr) complains to the airline that they were unfairly charged extra because of their medical condition.

In view of the passenger’s disorder and discriminatory legislation, how could the airline defend their position?

despite your "genetic" conditions and "slow metabolism"

Still makes no sense if the passengers aren't weighed.
-----

It's obvious that all the fattest people in the world board same plane. Hence, they considered average weight.

and what happens when a flight takes off from L.F. Wade airport, with a full baggage quota and a full flight filled with 50% over-weight donut munchers. They ALL sit on the left side of the plane.

This is why the Bermuda triangle myth exists, they are not lost, just flying round and round in circles

Because they are causing more fuel to be burnt, therefore they should contribute to that fuel cost.

It is easy for those people who put on a bit of excess weight over a period of time the moment someone says they 'look a bit chubby'.

But then there's kids who are fat at school who live their whole lives like it.....through genetics or easy-life parenting....and they gain and gain and gain as they go on in life, having never exercised or eaten decent food etc....I feel sorry for those kids who dont know any better.

Then you get the huge morbidly obese people....there is no way this is just a case of 'eat less, move more'.

It's a mental thing

The size of some of them is fackin mental

Eh? How?

If you charge by weight, then you charge by weight. It's like going to the shop and saying you want a kilo of beef but you only want to pay for half a kilo.

Anyway, Samoan Airlines are doing it so I'm sure they checked if it breached any discrimination legislation.
