But you're playing one game a week... should be easy.

I'd be embarrassed as a Liverpool fan that you're 5 pts behind us.

Brenda must be an awful manager.

This season there have been a lot of shocks. Still a long way to go yet.

Who would have thought Burnley would get a point at Chelsea?

If lvg does not make the top 4, he has to go.

We are in the latter stages of European football, league cup semi's, and in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

one game a week for man utd - should be easy.

Was it easy for you last year?

You're in the ropey league as "second prize in a beauty" contest. You're out of league cup. You've had it easy, like we have, in FA cup.

You're having a truly awful season. You have a settled team and squad with a manager who has been there 2 seasons now. You shouldn't be 5 pts behind us. We've got a new manager with half a new squad and haven't gelled at all. Not only that but most of our top players are totally off form too.

Liverpool could have won the CL, this year

Probably not a good time to wum either with you having southampton away today and City home next weekend.

Could easily result in 0-2 points which won't be enough for your top 4 push.

What a rant, which as rants usually are, is lacking a convincing argument.

Settled squad? How can it be when we :
Sold our best player
Bought - Lovren, Moreno, Manquillo, Markovic, Balotelli, Lallana
Settled squad

Also, we had our best striker, Sturridge, injured for 5 months

Along with this we had as mentioned participation in all those competitions.

Had it easy? We had premier league teams in the league cup, you lot got tonked 4-0 by MK Dons!

Rant again please Stretty, this time with a PowerPoint presentation!

We play a fast attacking style with technical players with the ball on the floor al the all the time. You on the other hand play like wimbledon of the neighties with Vinie Jones. Long ball after long ball and this after spending 200 m in one transfer window.

Hope Southampton do it

I'm of the opinion that we could bring any top manager in and we'll still be sh/t.

The success Fergie built was amazing and he pretty much made us who we are but in a twisted fashion I can see that as a burden for any manager coming on board for us ,for sometime to unfortunetly.

For me, LVG is the wrong man for the job. Yes he has a record for success, but it Is to big a job to complete in the 3 short years he has given himself.

Following SAF, we needed someone to come in and overhaul the squad and Instil an effective attacking form of play. Given the size of the the task, the club had the right idea appointing a young, hungry manager with years ahead of him to take on such a task. Sadly, we appointed the wrong man for the job and LVG seems to be a knee jerk reaction to the Moyes sacking.

My concerns with LVG are 2 fold. Firstly, with the squad we have, we should be doing better than we are. Second, allowing LVG to spend fortunes building a squad and training it to his very specific "philosophy" for just 2 more seasons seems a massive, expensive, unnecessary gamble.

For me, LVG should be replaced and the sooner the better.

Utd's reign at the top was long and fruitful.
You just have to hope that you dont go as long as Liverpool have before you win another title

Replacing SAF was always going to be almost impossible, but ive always believed Utd would make Top 4 this season & im sure they will.

Man Utd should replace Van Gaal with the bournemouth manager.

That guy has literally 25 odd years longevity. Is a good manager and will only get better.

I don't get how you can have a whole week to prepare most weeks with those players and still look so disorganised and gift easy chances to the opposition.

What exactly does LVG do during the week?

United will win the league within 3 seasons

they have too much money not to and FFP has banned other teams from investing in their squads

it's practically guaranteed United will be top again soon

Basically we fecked up big style in not appointing Mourinho,Guardiola or Anchelotti.

The clubs continue harping on that we'll have a procedure in place once Fergie retired was nothing more than utter bs.They didnt have a clue and if they did they left it far to late as the above mentioned managers had all by then signed pre-contracts with thier new respected clubs.

Basically we've been fecking it up ever since with managers, coaching staff and transfers alike.

They said exactly this about Busby... and it took 5 failed managers to get it right. No.6 succeeded by following the blue print that Busby created. ie. Combining home grown youth and experience and playing entertaining football without fear or inhibition that fans would flock to OT to pay to watch.

Fergie didnt need to think, he just had to follow the instructions provided by the club.

We now have a mug like LVG who speaks in riddles and bangs on about his own philosophy. This is Man United ffs. He doesn't need to reinvent the wheel. That is also provided in the manual for him...but he chooses to ignore it.

He's toast already.

They have a lot of old players to replace in the future like RVP, Rooney and Carrick.

If they sack Van Gaal they would have to start again rebuilding with the new manager would to buy his own players and having a new style of play.

On the other hand we have invested in talented youth players with more quality than they have and have a good manager who can coach them in the right style.

If you miss the top four, next season will be even harder as there'll be more pressure, there'll be no honeymoon period for the manager and his signings and you'll likely have the Europa League to contend with too. As you say Champions League prize money is increasing and it is not just that United will be losing the money- but that four of your rivals will be gaining it.

United can make top four, but I'd say they'd be pinning a lot of their hopes on some of their rivals crumbling: Van Gaal should never be in that situation.
