Depends on what XI and formation LvG puts out.

Castor, every time you post an article you depress me more and more. Talk about a glass half empty guy. Cheer up you support the best football club in the land.
We will win 0-3.

Not just the formation... their team is psychologically up for it because they've beaten us so often. Under arguably the worst stretches in a season, we've lost to both Moyes and LvG... because their team knows that they can roll Arsenal over!

If Arsenal is going to get anything from this game (and they can), they need to dig deep! Personally I hope they do!

We need to line up with the same personnel, mindset, formation and tactics as we did in the game vs Man City, and if that means Ozil on the bench, then so be it. But crucially we have to score 1st

I was confident before the Monaco game, now im not so sure, i'll happily take a draw and a replay

what I don't get is the Arsenal players have all the motivation in the world to put 1 over on Man U so you cant say they will not be psyched up for it. if we don't get a result i would put it down to Wenger and formation and tactics. if all this is in line i'm going for 1-2 to the GOONERS.

Man for man we have better team than United. We also don't have our usual injury crisis leading up to the game. Saying that we still have a fair few missing.

Thankfully, Sanchez got a goal and Giroud's bagged a couple so their confidence is up. Shame about Gabriel as I would have liked to see him and Kos in central defence. There may be an argument for Chambers... basically I'm not particularly keen on seeing Mert there atm. Wondering whether Walcott or Ox would be better down the right... nice problems to have! As long as they get that result!

01 Van der Sar
03 Evra (Scholes 80 yellow card)
06 Brown
12 Smalling
15 Vidic
20 Fabio Da Silva (Valencia 46)
21 Rafael (Giggs 64)
22 O'Shea
28 Gibson
10 Rooney
14 Hernandez

We lost 2-0 that day to one of the worst United teams ever.

We will lose on Monday probably 2-1.

Then wheel away in celebration with his former team-mates after his own goal.

We don't do goals at old Trafford

I understand that history says we will lose at OT but these types of hoodoos have to be broken at some time.

Big pitch. Problem is that we won't be able to push up because of Mertesacker. And that will mean Giroud is isolated or comes so deep that he won't able to join the attack. We must not go behind or Mertesacker will be a disaster.

Agree. Hopefully, this is that "some time"...

I was one of few people on here who wanted this draw. It will force us to up our game and I am confident we will walk past Man U on Monday. The only weak point is Per Mertesacker who, in his senseless desperation to score, abandons his defensive duties and starts to play as a false No. 9 leaving an autobahn behind him.

Arsenal should win both on form and paper

But this fixture seems cursed

I wouldn't bet on an Arsenal win if I was light on cash

The mental block you are talking of is more in your head than in our team. I am confident and optimistic of a good result for the mighty Gunners

1 win in the last 15 games against United would suggest otherwise

If we can get a goal in the first half we'll win. Its as simple as that for me. When we get a chance, we just have to take it.

The past doesnt matter....what matters is the team.

We are better in this regard.
