rnr forgot to mention Brown's thuggery, that's why mine took longer.

I dont think brown done much wrong
\Bit of a hefty tackle but no more than a yellow
Might be my tinted ones kicking in but i didnt see much wrong with it
CT
I thought some refs would have given a red to be honest but you can cite someone for a bad tackle ffs
That'll be van Dijk getting his rescinded by the way since Butcher wasn't cited.
And it was a red card all day long.
Not a fookin chance Brown should have been cited
rnr, don't be daft man.
It was a horrible, horrible tackle that was lucky not to seriously hurt Ciftci.
If it was the other way around would you have been saying the same? Not a chance.
just rewatched it , still dont see it as a red
Don't think VVD will get his rescinded to be honest, but like you say, if Butcher hasn't been cited then it might give him a chance. Their legs were tangled and it was more a case of him forcing his way out and vice versa
CT - if that was Ciftci on Brown would you say it wasn't a red?
He's off the ground, studs up, scissors action with the other leg and has his eyes closed.
It couldn't be more of a red card.
Ivan's views on things are always good to read
Ivan, I'm not being daft, there's no way he was getting cited. The ref was right in front of it, others may have sent him off but Thompson never. IMO it was reckless but if your going to pull every player up for a reckless tackle that wasn't punished by the ref(ref was right in front of it) then it would cause mayhem. It's more for off the ball violent conduct.
I notice you haven't once mentioned Butchers challenge, he flew right through the back of Virgil putting him right up in the air. That was equally as reckless but not once been mentioned
Brown made a great challenge, won the ball fair and sqaure
Damn, didn't mean to hit send.
Can I ask why it would be a can of worms if Connolly was cited for diving?
Broony has done an excellent deflection job for himself with his scatter gun approach
Brown is quite easily the most vile and violent player in Scotland. He makes McCulloch and Jim Goodwin look like saints (no pun intended) but then he never gets punished so what do you expect. I've yet to see a game involving Scott Brown where he doesn't commit an horrible foul or try to start a fight. I struggle to support Scotland while he's in the team

Nobody has mentioned Ryan McGowan's leg breaker on Stokes either, studs up on a planted leg.
That's cause IT HAPPENS, reckless tackles. If you want to start talking about reckless challenges there's alway's a come back.
Fact of the matter is Scott Brown was never getting cited for it, end of story

McGowan never hit him hard enough
