There could be a thrashing in the nou camp but it won't be the one you're hoping for.

In all seriousness tho, it's all set up for Simeone to walk in there this summer or even Pep if Bayern win the CL this season. Neither would surprise me that much.

Pelligrini is a dead man walking. No doubt.

It is not easy to win this league back to back. Go ask the godfather Alex ferguson.

Never understood the plastic comment "go and get yer Chelsea shirt" etc

In my whole life, I've never known a grown man change clubs. Not a single one. It's something kids under age of say 12 do.

If my club folded at any point.....I'd take up another sport. Could never wear another club's shirt. Not even for a laugh.

Played for a 5-a-side team years ago and the "captain/manager" brought old Celtic shirts for the kit. I refused to put it on, went in goal that game and never played again.

True story.

Don't know if it was picked up on TV but Sean Dyche was on the touchline kicking every ball while Pellegriini was motionless in the dugout

Not his style Paul. LVG is exactly same. Motionless and emotionless.

I can understand Arsenal fans baying for Wenger's head after having to tolerate 8 trophyless seasons. Bit absurd though to be calling for the sack of a man who won the title in his only full season. Plastic mentality.

You must have forgotten Mancini

Couldn't get him out quicker in the end. Ben Watson saw to that though.

City are no different to anyone else. And now Fergie is gone, we're exactly same.

All aboard the managerial merry-go-round.

I can understand the OP's frustration. Said last season that City won the league in spite of Pellegrini, not because of him. Same thing happened with Mancini. The fact is Liverpool bottled it last season, and under Mancini, United bottled it.

City could be so much better with a real top class manager at the helm. Even despite winning 2 PL titles in the last 3 seasons, I feel like they are the biggest underachievers out there.

He's a quality manager, but he's not the type to improve an already great side imo. He's like a footballing version of Moyes, gets the best out of a good group of players, but can't take the best ones to new levels. Although those types are rare.

City also seem lazy in most games. They don't really press, rather rely on winning it back through opposition mistakes and just playing.

It's got nothing to do with being happy about incompetence. It's about basic patience and not being sensationalist after one bad season. I guess when you go out of your way to buy trophies, that's what it does to the fan mentality.

Pellegrini isn't a great manager. He's a loser, I think the PL win was his first major trophy as a manager in Europe? Considering the clubs he has managed, that is pretty ridiculous.

Teams he's managed? Villarreal and one season at Real Madrid where he got the most points in a season the club has ever got

Agree on the whole, but think you're being a little harsh. He didn't do badly at Madrid.

Patrick Vieira doing the rounds on twitter right now.

All seems a bit ott. If you'd had paid to watch Utd like I have last two seasons you'd have slit your wrists by now.

I know it's not that long since you were proper shiiiit but you weren't expected to do anything then tbf either.

Best fans in country? Meh.....no different to anyone else.

Are you're having a laugh? What teams has he managed? He pretty much made Villareal what they are today and they'll never reach those heights again. Malaga has sunk since he left. He had a very good season in Madrid overshadowed by an era-defining Barca team. So what's this past record that makes him a loser?
