City's title winning season no matter how good it was for the club was helped massivly by liverpool's bottle job.

Needed to kick on this year, stamp authority but we haven't.

Decision not to replace Negredo in the summer didn't help.

Tactically poor in big games

Terrible from set pieces on both sides of play.

The owners want progression or signs of

This year we haven't

And if we weren't performing in our jobs we would be moved on so football management shouldn't be any different.

I liked pellegrini last year, he brought the club back together and we played fantastic football but this year has been the polar opposite.

Liverpool in reality lost it when they lost to Chelsea even if they beat Palace. Liverpool winning 13 losing 1 of last 14 games would not have been enough or title going by GD so really it is not much of a bottle job.

From August 2011 - December 2011, City were playing football from another planet, spanking everybody in sight. Then they were knocked out by Napoli in the CL and were never really the same again.

I'm not a City fan but I get frustrated watching them play because I know they are capable of so much more. Even when you were smashing Norwich 7-0 or whatever it was at home, those performances didn't get me off my seat like the previous City team did. It just seems so workmanlike at time, the pace, power, creativity, flair is all gone.

It's down to the tempo more than anything
Slow, methodical and ponderous compared to pace and power from then

I don't have a phone at the moment, and was working in League of Gentlemen territory tonight, so when I asked someone for final scores and they said we'd lost, I thought they were joking!..

Something clearly isn't right, compared to the team last year... But this has de ja vu written all over it... Title defence season, spark goes, but two very, very, different managers at the helm... It's either the fact that neither are quite the right caliber, or something else beyond them is the problem.

We need some fresh faces no doubt, but whether one of those is the manager I'm sure we will find out within the next week.

Yeah Pellegrino's face is anything but fresh

soccer?lol.

What everyone forgets is that Liverpool wouldnt have even been in the title race if we and city werent so poor so pelegrini deserves no credit for winning the title by being the least poor team - any numpty could have won the league last year

John Tezza I think it was a miracle Man City won the league last season. They were behind Man utd after 11 games. Man city 8th with 19 points. Next 27 games they got 67 points. So in first 11 games they dropped 14 points, last 27 games they dropped 14 points. To average 2.481 points per game for last 27 games is amazing. If done for whole season Man City would have finished with 94 points.

But the season is 38 games long, not 27. He deserves credit for scoring so many points from 27 games but we're in the buisness of judging teams over the course of the season, particularly as 5 of those first 11 games coincided with the CL while only 3 were played alongside the next 27 league games, and city as the eventual champions showed in europe, that they were merely the best of a bad bunch

Yeah I thought Man City chances of title were realistically gone after 11 games but then they started winning a lot of games. They needed to be near perfect from then on and they did it. Anyway Man utd had amazing run this season as we have been form team since 10th game as in last 18 games. We actually had 4 points less then Moyes after 10 games this season as well as 11 games If we beat Spurs we are 8 points clear of Moyes.

If you want Pellegrini gone, who do you want to replace him? If we're assuming Pep is going to honour his Bayern contract....

Isn't that said quite often by City fans though.

Both are equally guilty of spinning things their own way....
