Good news, he's terribly out of form but that's to be expected after missing 6 months.
Agree that if we can get him through till the end of the season then have a good break and be ready for a proper pre season, if that all goes to plan hopefully there is less injury issues next season.
I'd start Sterling too and have Studge off the bench at some point.
This is good news as i think he has to play himself back into form.
However i would start Sterling in the advanced role.
changing the formation completely id like to go back to the diamond in MF but it would mean reverting to a back 4 and that would be taking a big risk as we have not played it for a while.
Balotelli is on fire since this weekend

Well, he is a big lad.
I like GB.... yeah he goes too far but I like a bit of positivity on here some days

We seemed to be doing quite well with Sterling up front.
Sturridge hasn't been the same since he came back from injury.
The month stuff only came from the press, and not reliable press either.
I was always sceptical.
It was more down to what Hodgson said, righteous.
So he had the options to take injections early on in the season but turned that option down and now he is willing to do it. Better late then never I guess.

Initially we probably thought it would just be a six week thing. We weren't to know it would plague him all season, hindsight is a wonderful thing. The club usually gets it right when it comes to injury decisions, I think they have it right here too. It's different now when we play once a week compared to every three days as well.

Good to be right though in the end isn't it
Right about what?
You are just relentlessly negative about everything.
Obviously sometimes that negativity will prove correct, the same way GB's relentless positivity is sometimes correct.
Two diiiicks in the same a-hole.

I think it's the right call, our season could be over pretty quickly unless we act fast. For me if we fall 8 points behind United at the weekend, which given the two fixtures seems pretty likely in all honesty, our top 4 challenge will be over. I know Utd have a few tough games but they are winning them and ours doesn't look too smart either. If we lose we might as well just rest sturridge for the fa cup. We have to win Saturday really, I think we need to take the risk here.
