We need a backup keeper who is genuinely a challenge to Mig's number one spot. All the top sides have to trustworthy keepers.

We need cover at left back. Moreno has talent but has probably broken Djimi's record of individual mistakes in a season. I expect Enrque will leave.

I would be tempted to offer Johnson a new contract. We need his experience with so many others leaving.

We need a midfield game changer. We put too much reliance on Coutinho. The Pjanic transfer is unlikely.

We need to look for a world class forward. Someone who fits the system and has an X factor. Good luck finding one if we finish 5th/6th

Agree with great teams. We need wing backs/full backs on both sides. A back up keeper, a dynamic CM and a goal scorer.

We bought quantity last year, this time is like to focus on quality

A quality centre forward and quality CM most importantly, and a bit of cover at right back would help too.

Any names of quality forwards or CM's you think LFC might get?

I would prefer us to go all out for a striker. We can't rely on Strurridge and then have Origi and someone like Ings as backup. We need someone else to take the mantle of goals and ideally for me Higuaín but we might lose out if the established CL clubs also want him.

I don't think Sturridge is any good on his own up front which is why I think the striker position is priority. If we have 2 strikers then we tend to press higher up the pitch taking pressure off our shaky defence.

I know there are hardly any world class strikers out there but a proven goalscorer would make a massive difference.

The issue with that is, that Sturridge could be fit for 32 league games next season and then we have spent 30 million plus on a striker that either has to be able to play in a two, or Sturridge or the new striker spends a lot of time on the bench. And whilst playing a 2 was great last season, it weakens us considerably elsewhere. Sturridge has had a poor season injury wise but has been ok the 18 months previously.

The same can said in midfield. Why buy a new midifielder when we have Hendo, Can, Lucas and Allen vying for 2 spots.

I'd rather have the selection headache of two top strikes than panic everytime we see Sturridge on the ground or hobbling. Sturridge needs the competition too.

Would you bring Wisdom back as cover. we also have Flanno fit again?

Sturridge will not be fit for 32 matches next season, let's be realistic here. We took that risk last summer

I keep hearing the name Lacazette being mentioned. Would he come to us without champions league football though??? I doubt it.

There are hardly any decent strikers out there right now that are not happy in their current clubs.

I see Lavezzi'z name being banded about but I don't class him as a striker.

Other names -

Salomon Rondon
Higuan
Jaime Baez
Ings

Names not setting the world alight but would do a better job than Borini & Balotelli

He's played and scored as a lone striker many times. He has looked rusty since he came back but look at his record as a lone striker in the time before this season. You're talking about a goal a game over about 13 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can score goals but as a team I think we press higher with 2 strikers and that puts the opposition on the back foot. We have defended far too deep this season and given teams like Utd & Arsenal far too much respect. We rolled both those teams over with ease last season with 2 strikers.

Wisdom has shown this season he isn't good enough on my opinion. I thought the loan at WBA would do him the world of the good but he has really struggled and had a poor season. He's working under one of the best managers around in terms of defensive organisation and still hasn't been improved. I expect him to leave.

Flanno will stay and be challenging for a first team spot if he can stay fit. Manquillo may leave, have to see with that one.

I think we need some experience and I'd happily take Milner on a free.

But even if we did get him I'd want a good footballing midfielder, would love Pjanic.

As for the keeper, whoever we get to challenge Ming has to be decent with their feet, Ming has some qualities but he's awful with the ball at his feet and I cry when he kicks the ball!

I'd like to see us try the diamond with Sterling playing like Suarez did, he's the only player close to Suarez that we have, he can drag defenses out of position, run directly at them, open up space for Studge and also attack the space Studge creates.

Because that midfield isn't good enough and doesn't offer enough in the final third. If BR wants to play one up top then we have our highest earner and proven prem goalscorer already there. To spend upward of 30 million on a position where we would have Sturridge, Sterling and Origi seems a little strange to me. If we could see into the future and see that Sturridge would only play 20 games next season then fair enough...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Isnt that the role of Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling and Markovic?

You've got a different team now though, last season, the fear of Suarez pushed teams back and helped LFC a lot. That fear/caution is gone and i dont think your midfield scores enough either. Sturridge is going to need help, if you want top 4 again.

Teixeira (spelling) has had a decent loan at Brighton by all accounts, good article on him here

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/08/joao-teixeira-liverpool-brighton-loan-steven-gerrard

2 managers have both rated and played him, he coudl offer something next season
