I'd like to see us try the diamond with Sterling playing like Suarez did, he's the only player close to Suarez that we have, he can drag defenses out of position, run directly at them, open up space for Studge and also attack the space Studge creates.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I swear about a week ago, you lot wanted him gone to be replaced by Ibe, now he's the closest to Suarez you've got.
Sturridge did benefit from teams worrying about Suarez which provided him with space but since his return he has been marked out of games the majority of times.
I would like a couple of midfielders, Cabaye and Sissoko. Would give us some real class, depth, power and goals to replace Gerrard.
A full back, not sure we need both sides, depends on Flanagan and if he can come back to fitness properly, also depends on what happens with Manquillo and Enrique.
An experienced striker for me is a must, not old but someone who has played 200 games, doesn't have an injury record, and has good movement and can finish.
We don't need a lot, but we need to get the moves pretty much all right to improve.

Do you think Rodgers will continue with the three at the back next season?

You lot? Show me five posters that said that. It's ok, I'll wait.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You can wait coz i'm not looking through articles, to prove a point. Some LFC fans wanted him gone a few weeks ago due to the contract business, esp after the bbc interview, you know it's true.
Ok I see.
I think you have a problem with setting up with a lone striker though as Sturridge doesn't look as good when playing as one.
But your attack looks pretty average with three at the back. Maybe a return to the diamond would be your best bet?
Then you could try and sign a quality striker to partner Sturridge and get Sterling back in the hole.

I've seen a few people say that about Sterling and Ibe but I don't think it's relevant anyway as Kneerash has always been consistent in wanting to keep Sterling.

Yep, I do know that about two posters on here wanted him gone and said that Ibe could replace him. That is a little different from "you lot".
Your lot wanted Giroud and Wenger gone about a month ago.
See, it's easy isn't it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok greatteams, i can see how offended you are by me saying 'you lot'.
Some Liverpool fans on this website wanted Sterling sold to be replace by Ibe a few weeks ago due to being upset about him talking of leaving Liverpool to win trophies.
Only thing that worries me about flat back 4 is Moreno as a defender, huge improvement needed and then we have Skrtel who for me revelled in a back 3 but has looked suspect in a flat back 4. Lots to ponder and it will interesting to see what happens when Skrtel returns from that stupid suspension.

Yep I know what you mean, Greatteams.
I think if you bought another striker you'd be pretty sorted for you options in the front three, though maybe lacking in experience.
How the midfield and defence shapes up is anybody's guess.

He can score goals but as a team I think we press higher with 2 strikers and that puts the opposition on the back foot. We have defended far too deep this season and given teams like Utd & Arsenal far too much respect. We rolled both those teams over with ease last season with 2 strikers.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
You've got a different team now though, last season, the fear of Suarez pushed teams back and helped LFC a lot. That fear/caution is gone and i dont think your midfield scores enough either. Sturridge is going to need help, if you want top 4 again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly that is why we need to replace the void still left bu Suarez with a quality player which is what I think our priority is. Apart from suarez missing we have virtually the same team with some better additions in depth.
The priority for me is a striker. Balotelli, Borini and Lambert aren't up to scratch, which leaves us with Sturridge who has been a sick note this season and Origi who is completely unproven in England and should be given time to settle.
This is the stand-out area of weakness imo. We haven't scored enough goals this season.Out of the top 6 six teams in the league we've scored the fewest number of goals.
I quite like Berahino as a player. He comes across as a bit of a cocky twot, but I think he's the type of player we should be looking at. He's young, has good potential and would fit our style of play.
The other area we need to spend money on is a central midfielder. I would like a player with some experience to be brought in.
There are other area's we need to strengthen but these two positions are the priority imo.
I would like a new keeper to challange Mig for his spot, but I would accept a backup player coming in as Jones just isn't good enough as our other alternative.

Ings is being way overrated for me. He's done well for Burnley like other strikers in the past have for promoted clubs but he is not ready to be possibly 2nd in line to Sturridge.
A Keeper (Neto). A defensive midfielder and a box to box midfielder. One or two strikers. Love to sign Tevez. He's old now but still very good and full of running. Love to see both Tevez and Higuain. Very difficult to happen though.

I think Ings has done as well as Lambert did last season. He does have better movement than Lambert which is not difficult though.
