I think he means, about getting in the CL, not challenging for the title, we haven't been in that mix, even before the season started, for a long time.
We have hardly been expected to win the title for years now, but we have been expected to get cl, which we have done and certain clubs, (cough Man U, cough) haven't even done that.

I love the way everybody is now saying Spurs have spent silly money on rubbish, when practically every supporter was creaming their pants when all the new players turned up. I don't think there was one dissenting voice.
Always easiest after the event.
Spurs season highlight was the north London Derby and the fluke 5-3 vs Chelsea.
Now with their season over all they can do is hope Arsenal don't finish in the top 4 or win the FA cup.
Angry, annoying bunch.
Any established foreign player purchased without PL experience is a gamble no matter their reputation up to that point. Most players can take a while to settle in, some can do well in first season (e.g. Costa).
Without the PL experience any player, even decent ones, can turn out to be flops.
I think the only sure guaranteed success case would be someone like Messi.
Arsenal are annoying yes, but you have to give credit where its due, they have really turned their fortunes around.
It seems to take until the "Wenger out" brigade come out in full force that they turn a corner.

I don't agree with Stambouli and Chadli
Stambouli has done nothing wrong when played, might not of set the stage on fire but from my memory he hasn't played bad.
Chadli enjoyed some good form earlier in the season but I expect his Dad dying has had some effect on him since.
Lamela I'll hold opinion on till the end of next season.
