Bye bye Coco if the £ is right

He's a player you need to carry and I don't think you have the side to include a player like that, it's certainly not in Potch's ethos.

For the money you paid, I'd suggest giving him another season, unless you can get £15m for him this summer, which is unlikely.

Sell him if we can get good money for him, say anything over £20m, otherwise keep.

Definitely worth keeping ahead of Townsend and Lennon.

I also think he will improve, but don't think he's going to become the star we thought he would be when we signed him.

Should definitely play every minute of the last 4 games. They are tough matches, if he makes his mark in them we'll definitely want to keep him.

No chance of getting £20m for him I don't think. I'd say £11m/ £12m is what Milan would be willing to pay and that would be a big signing for them.

I don't know where you could offload him to outside of Italy and Portugal, where clubs tend to buy prospects or spare parts.

I'm sure Brendan could be persuaded.

So depressing that he is our record signing after we broke it three times in the same window with

Paulinho
Soldardo
Lamela

What an abject waste of £££

That would be ideal.

The way I see it is that he's had some good performances and some anonymous ones. Only one or two brilliant performances.

Because he cost close to £30m, and is hyped as a future star, we want him to do well and forgive him some of his bad games.

If he had cost us £3m from an obscure league, and put in the same performances, would anybody be that fussed about keeping him? Doubt it.

We're all perhaps a bit biased / blinded by his price and reputation.

Having said that, I still want him to do well.... One more season?! And Busby is right, we can't afford to carry luxury or ineffective players.

better than townsend and lennon, but if we can get 15m then sell !

He can’t beat a man, does not defend very well, looks way out his depth in this league, so I would be chuffed if we can off load if we can limit the loss to £8-£10m. If someone offers £20m, it’s a done deal for me...

PS. Sell Lamela for £20m, get Lennon back (for free) = squad improved already with £20m in the bank. Simple this transfer lark .

Whilst being a big disappontment so far he's still better than Townsend and Lennon. I will give him one more season and get poch to work on bulking the guy up like we did with bale. I honestly still think there's a good player in there but he really needs to toughen up and bulk himself up for next season. If he fails next season then so be it he's still young enough to sell.

Wouldn't improve nothing mate. Lennon a tried and tested formula and he's not good enough anymore. A couple of above average games for everton hardly going to convince anyone. He's currently at his level playing for a side that's battling in midtable

Then get annoyed when Lamela starts doing well for his new club, and Lennon goes back to normal.

lamela has done far more than lennon this season.

lennon can come back if he applies himself, but the truth is that his impressive loan spell at everton should be looked at with disappointment for every spurs fan.... where has that form been for us for the last 3 or 4 years?

rubbish.

Would be that bothered if we sold both of them tbh ( Lennon & Lamela )

Don,

I really struggle to see how anyone can say he's better than Townsend or Lennon.

He has been given chance after chance after chance, yet he simply disappoints in every game.

As I mentioned on another article, in the last couple of games he has got an assist and a goal, of which I give credit for (I don’t care how they go in..) but he has 1 acceptable performance in every 5 or 6, whereas I would say Lennon and Townsend have 1 good performance in every 3.

I would still like to see more consistency from Lennon and Townsend but they should be far higher in the pecking order that’s for sure.

As NotSo said above, if he was a low valued player we wouldn't care if he was anywhere near the squad and wouldn't bat an eye lid if he was shifted out like Holtby was.
