The biggest winners last night were UKIP with 12.6% of the overall vote and 3.8million votes, thats a massive step forward, now the third party and have displaced the Lib Dems
----------------------------------------------------------------------
apart from lib dems have 8 seats, and little old UKIP have 1

A fraction of the vote, the Party collapsing and still 8 times more influential.

comment by Giröulski Alt-153 and Alt-160 forever (U14971) posted 9 minutes agoThanks Mafiaboy. I'm at the stage where I'm becoming very excited. I seem to find a new reason to go every day, as well as potential problems or difficulties dissolving before I even get to them (funding, housing, etc).I can't either. I'm very upset. Ridiculously, part of the reason may be Brighton fans not liking his opposition to the Amex stadium. I didn't agree with his opposition, but it's a stupid reason to vote him out.----------------------------------------------------------------------Moving out of the dump that is England will be the best thing you'll ever do. The only real downside if you can call it that is you'll realise just how bad people in england have it. The weather, the jobs, housing and even the friendlyness or lack thereof your fellow countrymen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly. I'll always miss Sussex though. It's home.

Because of an unfair system, nothing else, Labour and the Lib Dems are finished as political parties
Nightmare result and the worst thing is, we have no chance of a voting reform whilst they are in power.
Labour finished as a political party? Puhlease.

They are a one policy party. What happens when that policy is not an issue anymore? So many parties have gone the same way in the past!

A first past the post election is never a true representation ...but you wouldn't understand that ...because you are thick
UKIP got more votes than the tartan only SNP.........who got 56 seats so that is unfair.
Poor old Nigel.
