Calm down

I wanted us to qualify for the CL but didn't expect to. Despite it being an unrealistic aim, I'm still disappointed anyway.

I'm actually quite calm to be honest, couldn't even be bothered to muster up any sort of hint of annoyance at yesterday's result.

It's been years since we qualified for the CL and it'll be years before we get back there. Even if we manage to hire the worlds greatest scouts who find us the best young talent on the planet, they'll end up joining someone else anyway.

This is Spurs; we go round and round in the same uneventful cycle.

Good post op , I'm not a Poch and IMO he won't be hear this time next year.

If he gets the players he wants then hopefully he can make it click but I think he his out of his depth.

Patience? Jesus christ mate. I have been waiting for 29 years of my Spurs supporting life to come good? What more patience do you want bar 1 single Refknapp season we have been pretty pathetic most seasons and a lot of us are just fed up now and to right

This thread is ridiculous, changing managers every year always works for us, but you want to stop doing that now? Ridiculous

Yea was a surprise to see a rational Spurs fan instead a generic over the top clueless one like yours

Levy won't buy a £50m player
We aren't in the CL
Sack this manager, that player shît
This defence is shiet yet you was the one banging a HUGE drum how good vertonghen was yet he's turn out to be rubbish, funny enough same with Lamela.

Don I like you but your really one of the most over the top Spurs fans out there

The fact several of the players just don't seem to be trying is why the board suffers a meltdown. Stoke is a tough place to go usually so the best I was expecting was a draw or a late win if we got really lucky. What riles me and many others is the nature of losing. An appalling, abject performance and you would be forgiven for thinking the back 4 had never met one another let alone played or trained together. The middle of the park wasn’t any better.

5 stars.

its an issue i have raised several times.

star of season everyone said 5-7th and a cup run was what we should be doing this season.

we are 6th and went to a cup final, but everyone is still having a good cry and half the people want poch out. its facking pathetic. that idiot Arsey leading the way. what an utter clown.

now i have made an article a few below this slating the defence, and rightly so, because it has been a disgrace, and poch needs to shoulder the blame as well as the coaches and the players.

however to call for poch's head for achieving what we all thought we should be achieving is just ridiculous.

i question the intelligence of such spurs fans. they just do not learn. usually levy listens to the fans and pulls trigger… hopefully not this time.

the fans are part of the reason that this club is going absolutely nowhere anytime soon.

Henge, I never once said sack the manager. I have faith In poch but can see his faults. My main gripe has been with the Spurs board and levy. It always has been and I have been consistent throughout with that view for years

don. poch has been badly let down by his senior players..

he has been forced into playing kids - and with kids comes inconsistency.

posted on 10/5/15

Chronic, yep I can agree with that but poch also has an argument to say he hasn't been provided the appropriate tools to substain a decent challenge. When you give the guy players like fazio, Davies and Stambouli can you see why he has struggled? I agree that the players especially the defencr have been nothing short of pathetic

Like levy or not ( I don't particularly ) we as a club have progressed significantly under his leadership on and off the field.

We have spent a hell of a lot of money on players over the last decade... Maybe on all the wrong players but the money has been spent.

Now we are at a stage of whether we can now push on and constantly get CL but that won't happen until the stadium is built and levy/Enic decide if they want to take us there or sell us on.

Be ready for us to carry on treading water until then

posted on 10/5/15

Henge, we been treading water for the best part of 29 years mate. Throughout my whole Spurs supporting life we have been serious underachievers and the time comes when enough is enough. We as a club with all these promises from the board etc should be doing a lot better. 2 trophies in 15 years is pretty abysmsl for a club of our size and structure. I'm not saying we should be challenging the league but I would like a consistent challenging top 4 Spurs side for once and the odd cup. We spend enough money on players and facilities etc to expect this as a bare minimum. Maybe your happy with stumbling through a season every year but im not mate. This is where we differ in opinions

Its all Levy the bald headed c unt, who should go out and spend every penny he has!!! He should also bypass any thirdparty laws and actually sign someone irrelative if they are unavailable, it is easy in FM ffs!! I am passionate.

We aren't a big club, we was 40 years ago but we was close to going bankrupt before sugar come in then levy has rebuilt us and now we are a safe top 7 club.

Yes we needed to push on under Harry when we had a chance but now we need the stadium to progress ( or a oil baron ).

I am 100% not happy that we have won like 3 cups in my lifetime ( especially as my brother is a gooon ) but rather be us than West Ham for instance!

The players know that they had no chance of CL and are almost certain to qualify for the EL, and at the same time some of them are just waiting for the end of season to find if they will be at Spurs next season, hence some are looking disinterested.

Our squad needs a good overhaul and Poch needs the players he wants to implement his style of play, if Levy does not give Poch the players he wants then Poch may as well leave now because he won`t progress the club with this squad.

I totally blame Levy, Poch was the cheap option to begin with, there was no release fee to be paid to appoint MP. Then Levy gives Poch none of his first choice targets, instead dumping Fazio, Stambouli and Davies on him along with several under performing players from the previous season.

The season has taken its toll on our squad. We don't have enough strength in depth to avoid going on a poor run at the end of the season when we've been involved so much in other competitions. Hard to say whether we'll either get the suitable quality in the summer, or players that we keep will develop enough, to make us compete for the long haul next time, so let's hope we miss out on Europa.

I highly doubt we'll get suitable quality this summer in the transfer market. We'll identify the targets with ease, it's not hard to do. We just won't manage to sign them.

People should realise that until the stadium has been completed we can't pay the wages that attracts the best players. Therefore we will never reach higher than third, and probably won't drop lower than eighth.

The days when a manager like Clough could build a team from scratch are long gone.

Couple of seasons ago so much promise.. 2 seasons later so little delivered. I'm not going to defend Levy but who would have thought that Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho would turn out to be so f'fing average? We all sort of knew Barn Door would eventually let us down. Even Vlad had impressive stats before he joined. With a few exceptions the top 4 have forked out much higher sums on individual players but those players have all but paid for themselves. Perhaps Daniel Levy needs to look at the economics again. Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate. Accountant chum of mine told me player funds would be ring fenced from the stadium costs and since Joe Lewis is the man who holds the purse strings, he is the ultimate man to look at if you want a head to roll.

How can his head roll? It's his club. He can do what he wants. He's gonna sack himself

Anyway everyone should remember that it's a business for joe lewis. He doesn't even like football. Spurs is simply a diversification in his portfolio of investments

Right so we should hope we miss out on Europa. Our squad although lacking in suitable strength in depth to perform in Europe and the league, could very well be good enough to perform well in just the league and give us an enjoyable season again.
