Bats, liverpool don't have the revenue of the " big boys" and you were 1 game away from winning the league so don't give me that s hit mate. If we had built a foundation the moment we made CL a few years back under harry who knows what we could of achieved. The club has been a decline ever since then and it's got worse every year

I'm not a Liverpool fan and although what Liverpool did was amazing, they took club of all the big boys (Arsenal aside) being in transition, had no Europa, were knocked out early in both domestic cups and had Suarez.

Alfie

I went home and away for over 20 yrs from 1979 onwards and used to love it, went to second game this season QPR at home , won 4-0 and went top of table.. went home having not enjoy the whole day, crap game and atmosphere and a realisation my love for Tottenham was no longer as strong as it once was, The last 4 yrs have been the worst for me as we had hope of finally challenging again and maybe winning a few trophys but the clubs spending policy has been a complete joke, Even Burnley have spent more FFS

Today's game is all about the money with players who care little for the club or fans, im glad my time going was watching players like Mabbutt, Galvin< hoddle< Ardilles, Roberts etc etc players who cared and loved the club and fans

Ginola was the last player that i felt like this about the club along with King

Every yr for the last 5 yrs we have fallen away and collapsed and constantly lose to teams at the bottom of the league.

This summer is prob going to tell us a lot about the club, if we fail to spend big then its clear the club is happy to fall away, but we must buy the right players and sort out whose responsible for the utter rubbish we have brought in last 2 yrs

Club right now is a joke

Totally agree with you about money taking over football...I'm also disillusioned with the whole modern culture of the game; oil barons creating instant 'giants' of under-performing clubs, Sky dictating kick-off times, hyper-inflated ticket prices and most irritating of all, as you rightly state, players who have no respect for the fans' feeling for their clubs - although they may not share our passion for the club, they could at least show some professionalism and put in a shift, make it look as though they care. I think King was a freak in the modern game...I doubt we'll see a one club man (of his ability) again. The days of hero-worshipping players are over, I view them all with cynicism.

But I still love the club, can't help it...they still have the ability to make or break my weekend, even at my advanced age!

Junction , that's why I'm pretty much fed up with spurs and won't be investing my money in them again until changes are made.

If you took away Kane`s goals this year, we would probably be bottom half, that`s a scary thought

Billy, Kanes goals and Lloris brilliance at times. Our defence are a comical joke.

You can't say that though billy!

Take away Ageuro goals or Sanchez or Costs etc etc they'd be in trouble too.

Look at QPR Austin scored lots and they have been relegated so rest of our team have chipped in too

junction8, I used to watch Alan Mullery urge the players on with huge enthusiasm when we went ahead or behind, we don't have a captain of that calibre now and haven't since him.

we have been so desperate to sign bargains we don't pay enough attention to how much they want to play for the club or their ambitions with the club. Club like ours needs players with a very high work ethic. nothing less will do.

The coach has to instil the right attitude into the players or he's to doing his job properly. Brian Clough bought Britain's first million pound player, Trevor Francis. "Be at the training ground at 8am and I'm not asking you I'm telling you." That kept his feet firmly on the ground. Oh for a manager like that now.
