So after a day to reflect the general consensus is that of not much excitement for the new SW?

Excirted probably isn’t the word… it’s looks good from the trailer, but it’s a trailer innit.
It’s a whole new thing, that most probably wasn’t covered in any books, so we can’t really reference anything… but as of now, we looking forward to it.

Been burnt too many times recently - so expectations are super low on pretty much everything. Feel lowering the bar as much as possible makes it more bearable. Also comments from the director are super mixed: read the books - good, hiring people who aren't fans of Star Wars - bad especially when you try to say this is a good thing, personally I don't agree with the pov.

I concur.

the trailer was meh, but not reading into that at all cos they made Obi Wan look pretty damn good in the trailer.

What I will say though is the trailer for Aliens Romulus looks fart more promising, if a little bit copy and paste from Aliens !

Not start the wannabe theme, but why would you want to be a civilian in the MCU?

Even if you're lucky enough to have not been affected by The Snap you still face constant danger from superpowered and extra-terrestrial threats and not to forget the cosmic apocalyptic threats. If you live in a big city or a small town you're pretty facked. Nowhere is safe.

Yeah but this is a world where civilians can become superheroes, they can fly and shlt. Worth the gamble surely.

Imagine the Jerry Springer type shows there.
