ok, so, is it just Denzels style is it personality actors in general.
Personally, I think Denzel is great, but that’s not to say he cant have a dud film.

I find he most of the time, elevates a script that’s below average. Equalizer 3 for example..
initially I was like, meh… then somehow watched it again. He shouldn’t be the Equalizer, i don’t like this version or Denzels choices for the character since the first film.
But if he plays someone else, it’s good. And I’m watching the 3rd film, and I ended up liking it more.

But that Gladiator trailer did put me off too, cos I kept thinking Training Day in Roman times…

The best follow up film for absolutey years was Top Gun Maverick...utterly superb film...

If they can follow Gladiator to ANY decent standard i'm in
