Romulus director has done well with films building tension and that’s what you need in an aliens movie. Doesn’t need to be all out action or change my life with a philosophical twist.

Prey was disappointing.

Wanted to like it but just didn’t. Went in a better direction but yeah, it could’ve been so much better and really used the setting instead of making it another boring film about how females are just as good or better than males.

I think in Prey they did aboot enough to not stray over into that foolishness and make her credible. Her Brother was a complete badass..

The thing aboot the setting, well, that comes down to Budget. For what Dan did, he shot the hell out of that.

For me, Prey sits joint 2nd with Predators.
Then Predator 2.
Yeh I said it.

Danny Glover was just the wrong choice.

But I can get behind Predator 2. Feels like a comic come to life.

Yeh Glover was the wrong choice.. only 4 years before he’s playing a cop ‘I’m too old for this shiiiit’, yet 4 years later, they think mans shaving his moustache off gonna take 10 years off the man!!
He looked even older ffs

Plus, the direction was basic. You really got to sell Predator in a City. Shoot with some style, let the DP do his thing.
Just flat and boring to look at…

I liked the ending, when the Elders met him.

No, for real fam. That’s what Prey left me with….
The fun that could be had.
I heard in Prey, they cut out a sequence that they filmed on a Ship at night…
Would’ve loved to have seen that. One of the reasons why I would’ve loved to had to seen that scene, was cos, back in the day, when I wrote Predator 3, I had an action sequence on a boat too! But in modern day..

The Predator facing off an old Canon ship… I would’ve been giddy.

Basically he said, he watched a rough cut aboot 6 months ago, and gave some notes to Fede, who is not a good friend btw.. and He hasn’t seen anything since but imagines they did massive changes…

What a strange thing to say… why he do Fede like that?!

Ridley is praising the film.

Nah... well, it might one day..
Disney already had the franchise to do it.. Star Wars.
But his comments come across as salty.
Didn’t see that coming.
Is he annoyed that he wasn’t on board as a Producer, cos he was like, ‘yeh, Ridley had more say than me’...

Well of course he would, he created that world, he hasn’t touched that world since. At least Ridley still cares. Whether we liked his later films or not, I’m going with Ridley every time over Jim.
