Finally saw Alien: Romulus. What a disappointment, potential to be an amazing addition to the universe completely ruined by the 3rd act. This movie seems to be a parody of the entire series:

Start really cool and tense with some cool storyline and dark closed ship and cool action (Alien/Aliens)
Then it starts to get a little silly but it's ok, we enjoyed the first half (Alien 3)
Now we tack on pointless sheite that doesn't work with the cool Xenomorphs that made the early stuff so successful (4, Covenant/Prometheus)

Like who thought the best Alien to copy was 4 but without Sigorney playing some hoops? Cos that's what Romulus basically is, a slightly better Alien Resurrection.

exactly what I said, 75% of that was great. claustrophobic, tense defo an homage to the first two, then they tried to tie in Prometheus and it was stupid.

Everything up to the black goo I really enjoyed and s what you want in alien movie

Like Who said pretty decent (8/9 out of 10) until the Prometheus sheite is shoe horned in which in itself is maybe a 2/10 at best, even fan fic is better than the tripe we got at the end. Like the fact they decided to copy the worst alien ever (human clone queen thing from resurrection). Just stick with the Xenos FFS!

Well it seems the sequel has been green-lit, lets see where they go with it. Just hope they keep it simple, and no more random sheite added. Just people and Aliens and maybe some guns. Wasnt a massive fan of the girl, felt didn't really bring anything different - loved Andy, though yeh feel bad for being given "that line", kid knocked it out the park and would love to see the return of Company Andy

Getting better each episode, but I think Cristin Milioti is the absolute star actor of the show by a countryside.

Country mile even
